T-Rex vs The Lion!! Who do you guys like?

It'll be interesting to see how many of these games were influenced by the handicap. My guess is not many.
2 of the early games came down to one ball
Alex made 2 beautiful severe back cut spot shots to win those games
Those games tony had a chance to win but the games would have been over without the spot as alex got to 8 first

I have seen many people lose even and get 9-8 and dominate. It might be more mental than actually how many times it comes down to a single ball.
I think 9-8 is an excuse to play. Like the call 8 in 9B.

It’s funny how that works, 9-8 has always been an interesting spot. 8-7 is a totally different animal than 9-8.

Fatboy<——-needs 10-6.😀

There really has been some great one pocket played by both players so far.
Alex played great the first couple of hours last night and got a 4-0 lead.
After that, they played even the rest of the night and Alex ended up 9-5 to finish off day one.
Long way to go to win the cheese.

Day two live play begins at 4pm central time today.
Double J Jeremy Jones will be breaking down the shots and strategies with EXPERT One Pocket commentary.
Tune in and sweat some great High Stakes World Class One Pocket Action.

HI. I'm trying to learn about spots. Why is those two spots so different? Thank you

Holding someone to a lower number is the more important aspect of a spot, what the ball count is for the stronger player isn’t as important.

It’s much harder to hold someone to a lower number as the stronger player. The extreme case would be 2-1. It’s still a one ball difference but favors the weaker player. If they play 100-99 the stronger player has the best of it by a mile.

So 8-7 is more weight than 9-8

That help?

Fatboy<———needs 10-6 but would rather have 10-5. Which is what makes handicapping 1P a beautiful thing.

Billy just left the booth.
It's great to be able to hear commentary
by both these guys together.
I'm very fortunate.
(BTW, I bet on Tony), either way, I'm enjoying this!
