Tad Kohara

My sincere condolences to friends and family. God bless all, Tad was a giant.

Just recently, a friend bought an old Tad cue and showed it to me, a plain jane birdseye maple cue, but it had an ebony butt sleeve with a large rainbow ring in the center, a very simple but an exceptionally beautiful and elegant design.

I got to meet him in 1979 , when dropping by his shop. Bought a maple cue from him and used it for quiet sometime. Great workmanship and a great cue maker.

Don't know much about his cues, but certainly he's one of the greatest artists ever presented on this field, almost everyone knows that.
My condolences to his family and pool friends.

A very sad day for his family and the pool community.I never met him but have always heard good things about him as a cue maker and person.

Cuesblues has a rather plain TAD that is one of the most solid hitting cues I have ever played with and I've had the opportunity to hit with pretty much everything from Buskas, Szams all the way down to my Lucasi and that TAD is right up there with the very best.
