Taking a break......

I need to focus on my family..... I am going to take a break from pool and this forum for a couple of months so that I can fully focus on some issues that my family is dealing with. One of the issues that we're dealing with is my being arrogant and pessimistic, so when I come back, hopefully, you will all notice a difference in me when I do come back. I will still post the youtube or rather I will probably post a rapidshare single file that is divx and completely uncut, but I am going to take a break so that I can save my marriage.

You must be a good man with a good understanding of priorities. Take care of what needs to be taken care of and we'll see you when you come back.

I do the same thing. I'm itching to play right now though. Summer and all I don't care. I just need a cue.
 
This is going to be torture for you since you obviously love pool. I'm threatened with that on a daily basis-- the threat of having to put forth the same effort into my relationship as I do with pool. It's like "MAD" during the Cold War (Mutually Assured Destruction).

She threatens to leave but never really does. If she'd leave, I'd really miss that girl....but I'd be on the phone that night to line up my next game.

Good luck -- you're doing to mature thing.

Best of luck. Family first in all decisions.

I didn't really get to play pool on a regular basis until I was 56 and don't for a moment regret that decison.
 
Good luck with your family. They "should" come first but too often many of us let other unimportant things get in the way. Family is for keepers, pool can only fulfill so much!

We're here on earth to learn about relationships and love, not ego based activities like shooting pool. Good for you that you recognize where your priorities lie.

Good Man!! That family comes first!!

BTW - Not a Psychiatrist or anything, but just something I have noticed about myself regarding "attitude adjustment".....I find that the music I listen to has an effect on my overall attitude.....I know that probably sounds..."adult"...but I have grown to belive it.

There is the term..."You are what you eat" I also belive it is "You are what you listen too" :)
