Taom Chalk

Uhh it kind of might give an indication of how well you hit the ball.
Top players like Fedor, Filler, Shane and ..... never hit the extreme cue ball edge where the misscue are coming, these guys can play with any fucken shit without miscue.

Right. Lower rated Fargo players don't hit the ball as clean as them.

Yes, like Skyler. V10 is may be the cleanest but certainly not the one with the best adherance. Pros who play the V10 are paid by Taom for that, if you want the reality, buy some of the best chalk and test them.

I don’t think so since your results are definitely not the norm of most people and in general better players are able to appreciate and have more feel for subtleties
so i am curious
how good do you play
so I’ll ask again
what’s your fargo ?
i appreciate you took the time and posted your experience
its just your results are not what most are saying
I'll repeat myself. My Fargo is irrelevant. I miscued much more with the V10 than with the Pyro. I'm happy that I found this out, and I'm really happy with the Pyro. I also get better spin with the Pyro than with the V10. I'm not trying to knock the V10 people (there are a LOT of you), I'm just happy that I have an alternative that, for me, is better.

I don't play rotation games and I don't play in Fargo events. They're just not a priority for me, and I work a lot of hours at my regular job. If I had to guess (and that's all I can do here) I'd say I'm probably around 630 because a friend has that rating and I feel like I'd be around the same, probably a little better than him, if I played those games. I know I'd have no concerns with giving him the wild 8 in 9-ball.

thanks for the reply
enjoy the pyro

Apparently, I'm a 650. I have no idea how they came up with that number. Do they keep records from the 1990s, which was the last time I regularly played those games?

I have both pyro and v10. I can tell a difference in texture, as it is more powdery and does not stay on as long as V10. Performance I can't tell a difference, but it matches the table cloth now. ymmv
It is opposite how you would think, but you really do not want matching colored chalk to a cloth. It is why green felt and blue chalk were the norm for many decades. It would be the opposite for blue cloth. Green chalk.

So I’ll eat crow here lol I used to say kamui chalk really wasn’t that messy people just put to much chalk on their tip. I still think people over chalk BUT I cleaned my diamond for the first time since I got it. I’ve had it for about 6 weeks. I play at least 6 days a week on it for about 1 to 2 hours. I use A white cotton shirt that I make slightly damp with water from a sprey bottle. I stand at the end of the table reach out to the middle to lay it flat and then wipe towards myself. When I used kamui on my old table it would be dark blue when I was done and I did it usually once a week. after 6 weeks of Taom v10 nothing. Not the slightest mark of color. I love the way kamui feels going on but I’m a Taom guy for now on.

Do you chalk over the table or is this solely from tip contacting the cue ball ?

I think it is much, much better to vacuum your table. The idea is to pull the chalk dust up out of the cloth. Your t-shirt method will not do that.

Yeah well..we aren’t them and either are you so your point is meaningless. Pro golfers don’t use cavity back clubs but you can bet my 15 handy cap ass does lol

Play with what you want, 2 players here with fargo over 700 played with V10 and have made miscues in important tournament moment and that's really not common for these guys, one made 4 miscues before he throw his V10 in the garbage and now they play with Magic chalk with confidence and no problem.

Funny .. I only chalk one time before each game. Play about 2 hours a day and I might have 2 a week and when I do it’s generally my fault.

Ditto... since I started using T10 there's no going back or substitute for now. Worth every penny...(I mean dollar). Excellent product.

The best chalk for the money is the Russian Magic Chalk, I prefer this chalk to the Kamui anytimes, Alosius Yapp play with.
I just recently started using predator chalk, and what a difference. Firstly, my hands were clean. I don’t chalk between few shots sometimes and never miscued once in a 2 hrs session. I used to miscue a lot with predator and i thought it was my stroke or the tip.
