TAR 28 Announcement Tonight on the TAR Podcast at 9 PM EST

I still think pros on a 9 footer will humble that game. Time will tell.

Nick

This table is pretty tight, I think it will bring up alot of interesting and tough shots you don't see players shooting in rotation pool given the different nature of the safety game. You will see outs where a player needs to come to the short-side and shoot a shot up the long rail past the side, on the TAR table that will not be a joke of a shot. You will see postitions where you need to play that bank for the side or the corner to win, no real options for the safe instead. You will see alot more in-offs, more combos, more breakouts on clusters where you need to control the cueball and the object balls you are breaking out, ect... That type of stuff just does not happen in rotation pool because the safe it ALWAYS a viable option.

The pros will certainly run some racks, but I dont think they will run more racks then they do in 10-ball and in the racks where they don't get out things wont have the automatic safety. These guys are going to play some shots and get into situations you simply never see a player forced into when playing rotation pool.

8 ball is an interesting game to watch. It can sometimes get harder as the rack progresses, adding pressure to the players to get out, and making it more exciting for the fans to watch.

Both of these players are top shelf, and very creative. It has the potential to be a very exciting match.

For a little tease I leave you with two words: All Around. :D

If the Rifleman is pullin out his Winchester I'm gonna shit.

He said "All Around." Not "All Round." :-p

All funnin' aside, I'd love to see Buddy in action. But I'm not sure with Buddy's health, that he'd be up for a long-distance, all-around challenge that is the TAR trademark.
