TAR 31: Shane Van Boening vs Mike Dechaine Feb. 15-17,2013

Most of us don't mind watching the BEST American player match up.. He just happens to be the player with, arguably the biggest heart, biggest break and willing to play anyone..

And... he plays all games really well..

Shane is a treat to watch.. Keep it up JCIN!
going back to the bigger pockets will turn this into a breaking contest.no secert who that favors.

I love watching SVB and would do so anytime and never sick of it.

I, for one, want to see Earl play again. I know there was controversy last time with him and Justin doesn't want him back, but I would like to see it.

would be nice to see some taiwanese guys in a long race against some philippinos....maybe you like the idea justin. there is a chance some taiwanese will show up in vegas....

Complaining

It amazes me how many times Justin goes over this and people still think he is the Houdini of the pool world that can pull the best player on Mars to match up with the intergalactic champion from Pluto.

Justin can only get players who are:
A: Willing to play
B: Who's schedule will work out
i. Due to:
a. The other tournaments going on around the world
b. Prior commitments
c. Not living in the United States
C: Going to garner viewers
D: Cost effective (travel and hotel expenses)
E: Are not Earl Strickland
F: A multitude of other BS that I probably don't know because Justin never discusses it publicly.

And don't forget Justin is making millions off of this... ;):killingme:

I mean I want some variety too, but if Justin is only able to get SVB to play it goes to show you the "heart" (I hate that word) he has compared to other players.

I applaud what Justin is doing and I am sure if you were in his shoes trying to make this happen you would have a brain aneurysm from listening to the crap he has to.

Thanks again Justin for putting on, in my opinion, the best produced pool match-ups.

Good luck Mike and Shane!

Having experienced what following pool was like in the ancient days before internet . . . learning what happened last month by reading this month's edition of Pool and Billiard Magazine or Billiard's Digest . . . watching matches after Accu-stats can get them recorded to VHS . . . I really appreciate what TAR, poolactiontv.com, insidepool.tv, tvmike, and all of the others provide.

I can't wait for this one! Thanks TAR!

Just curious about the racking situation. Seems to always be a problem.

1. Independent racker and they have to accept as is.

2. Rack your own.

3. Opponent racks.

4. Rack your own with a 10-15 sec. rack clock.

I wish someone would figure out what to do when we have contestants that consider themselves rack experts and take so damn long. Issue a warning when it starts getting testy or takes too long. After 2nd warning, an independent racker steps in with not questions, has to accept as is.

During the podcast. I would like to know what the weight of their cues are and the type of tip and hardness. Nickel or dime radius.

Thanks, Dougster

Yes. We will be doing more all around stuff. Some good players going to Reno for the USBTC so I am trying to work something out for after and it will probably be an all around.

I can't wait to see another all around!! You can count me in for the PPV on any and all when it comes to the all around matches. I love to see players tested in the different games like 1 pkt and 14.1 along with the rotation games:-). Great job Justin!! I will be tuned in for the SVB vs Deshane also. This should be a barn burner with the 4 1/2 inch pkts. If anything this could make Mike even more of a factor. I think Shane is a favorite but with the pockets opened up to standard size, Mike will be in this match I believe....He's been known to put 8 packs together, ask Archer:grin:

I am gonna pile on, Justin Hall...or whatever you are calling yourself these days:

It is not enough that you invest your ASSets to bring the entertainment to us.

I want a mutha fugin cupcake, a curly straw and a reach around from easy-e too.

I like fugin cupcakes myself lmao

I hate to overstate the obvious, but with SVB and Dechaine in the box playing long sets, this has the potential for what many want to see- both guys will be hitting each other with packages.

This might be like a UPS vs FedEx death match.

I don't know how many times it was reiterated that the winner of SVB/Appleton plays Dechaine. It was all over the podcasts, in several threads on AZB, and definitely talked about many times during the last TAR match. Which, obviously wasn't watched by the people complaining.

SVB wins and it's, "Oh my God SVB is playing AGAIN!?"

He plays damn near perfect pool. One day he won't be here to play and really, there aren't many guys that can match up with him. Appleton and Dechaine are both underdogs.

People want to hear how Shane shoots and aims so they asked him. Where else would you find that out?

TAR is terrible for pool. The best player in America that no one can match up with AGAIN!?

yeah he is america best player. but he lost three out of the last four matches he played on that table with the tight pockets.tighten the pockets back im sure johnny will give him a rematch.

JCIN, I think this is a great matchup that I would certainly pay to watch. The only concern that I have is the racking situation. Is there anyway you could have an independant racker?
