Please detail to me when Shane lost 5 or 6 of anything in a row at any time gambling.

I realize you are just hating and thats cool. Its everyones right. But just completely making shit up and throw it out there is a bit of tard thing to do.

I'm sure he has the bootleg DVDs to prove it... for sale.

Shane Van Boening Dennis Orcullo

** Please note: Statistics for days 1, 2 & 3 will be consolidated into one match later today. If you visit this link and see different numbers/statistics it's because I've already consolidated them into one match.

On days 1 & 2, Orcullo's B&W% (Break & Win Percentage - meaning wins earned on racks he broke) was 36.8% and 40.7% respectively, meaning going into Day 3 he had lost 6-7 out of every of his own 10 breaks. With SVB consistently able to win over 60% of his own breaks (that's over his 600+ 10-Ball racks we've tracked), Statistically Speaking we knew that Dennis would have to win about 80% of his own breaks in order to earn a "W" - that's a tall order even for this man. His play, however, did improve majorly. It was too little, too late.

Be sure to follow Pool-Trax.net on Facebook and/or Google+.

Thanks to TAR, SVB, Orcullo, and the sponsors for making this match happen.

The amazing thing is that Shane crushed him on Friday despite a lot of bad rolls on the break (I don't think I've ever seen Shane get kicked in or hooked so often in recent memory).

Also there are a few who claim "Dennis even won day 3 in games"...LOL, talk about "El Garbage time"..I give D.O. credit for fighting extremely hard but Sunday night it wasnt about if SVB was going to win but by how many...he certainly wasn't bearing down in the same way he did the first 2 nights when he was building a devastating lead. Everyone knew it was over so to win more games on the last day of the match when trailing by roughly 25-26...and still losing in double digits isn't extremely impressive to be honest. It was like the 4th Quarter of a Football game with one team up 42-7..sure they aren't going to fight as hard as the outcome is a foregone conclusion, so its junk time. Dennis is still one of the best 10 Ball players in the world (IMO) but Shane has to be considered the best right now...he proved it the only way he could this past weekend.

For now, yes. But could easily change from match up to match up. Orcollo beat him in a different TAR format last year (8 ball, 1 pocket, 10 ball), so was Orcollo the best last year? Not exactly and neither is SVB for winning this match up. When guys of this caliber match up, it is too difficult to predict because the skill level is so close

Only talking "now"

"For now, yes" is all that i'm talking about. SVB is a better player now then he was a year or 2 ago and he's 28...and practices a ridiculous amount of hours per day..everyday. I don't think he can be beaten in a 10 ball long race by anyone right now, and I think he knows it and the other players do as well. He has also lost to Busty and to Alex in the somewhat recent past, but again long 10 ball race he obviously has a big advantage over the other top players right now.

and with each match at the TAR house, SVB's 'home team' advantage increases.

Not much of a home table advantage, B-B....
....the table plays excellent and the climate is dry.

When I was a kid, if I went to a strange room to gamble and they had Gold Crowns,
I didn't feel I was giving up much edge to the locals.

We all do

and with each match at the TAR house, SVB's 'home team' advantage increases.

Seems he likes Diamond Tables with 4 1/2 inch pockets..like any other pool player in the world..

That match could have been held in a basement in Wyoming on a tilted Poolcraft and SVB still would have taken him to the shed. Had nothing to do with the table or location and everything to do with SVB playing like a monster.

Great win for Shane.... also loved the photo on FB of Dennis sleeping in the backseat as Shane was giving him a ride to L.A..... classic lol

That was!

Makes me wonder 2 things:

1) who took that pic? Someone riding on the hood or perhaps SomeVonElse?

2) the look on SomeVonElse's face reads of "lifeisgoodritenow"

:) Good stuff

Zoom in on Shane's glasses and you'll see a reflection of Shane's hand holding the camera.

Pool is not like a football game. When they come back the next day it's a new day, a new start.

In the old days when the straight pool players played big blocks the papers would report on who won the day as well as the overall match standings.

So it is relevant that Dennis "won" the third day. The stats bear out that he played better on the third day.

One great thing about the long race format is the ability to see swings and get lots of stats on the top players.
