Firewall or antivirus/system protection software blocking port 6667[irc]. McAfee and others block this to protect against common remote virus control machanism by default.

KNOW WHAT, rep for you. I do have enterprise mcafee. I disable it and give it a try. Makes since though.

they improved the codec yesterday and the picture quality was way better - have they gone back to the old codec now?

Chat problems

PM me if you need any more help. It is best to add the process (iexplore or firefox) to the exceptions list instead of turning it off. You can find out which process to add by looking at the "access protection" logs from the console.

I am getting a IO error and the camera feed is not on. I watched it at the house yesterday but now is not working.

accoding to the chat they've realised they're using the wrong codec so it's down temporarilly while they fix it.

A question for those of you who have watched a PPV on TAR website... is the size of the screen during a PPV the same as it is for the free streaming?... or is it considerable larger?

I watched some of the free streaming this w/e and enjoyed it... but the screen could have been quite a bit larger.

Good solution and good advice. But unfortunately that did not solve the chat issue with me either (I do have a corporate version of McAfee on my system).

Even disabling the HIP service does not keep port 6667 from being blocked. My only guess is that there is another app blocking it... I just can't find it :(

Oh well. I'll keep trying. I guess just watching the pool action and hearing all the barking is good enough

Thanks again.

Just an update...

I've been working with Wayport - the company who provides the internet to the Executive West Hotel. What we've found out is when the feed gets bad, they're detecting file-sharing on the network (which they then block the IP and MAC address to prevent them from re-joining the network). So although the line is supposed to be dedicated, the file-sharing hoses it.

This usually clears it up, but if other people log in and Kazaa us to death, we have to repeat the process. This, unfortunately, is not something TAR can be pro-active about... only reactive (so be patient if things get bad... we know it). I've been helping them as often as possible to keep your stream clickin', like Chickety China... the Chinese Chicken. Everyone should do what they can to support these guys, they're putting themselves out there to make sure you have your action fix... on their dime.

Buy a T-Shirt, Buy the PPV, buy something man. We need these guys around. What else are we gonna watch, Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood?? C'mon.. keep the action flowing!

Sound quality was so bad, choppy, tonight that I gave up and left.... several times.

I'm curious how "Roar of the crowd" side bar thing works and what it is intended for. The button in the very right corner beside MENU opens this bar and if pressed more it shows red mark (Roar of the crowd) and yellow (Your shout). So?
Well, I'm still curious. I made a screenshot so that it is clear what I am talking about.
You see the vertial bar on the right, see "Roar" when you point a mouse to the red color and you can make yellow show up if you click on the button in the corner. Any ideas? May be we can ROAR? :)

i looked it up. basically if plenty of people keep clicking the button there at the bottom then it pushes the action report's stream to the top of the ustream rating list.

Thanks... I have been wondering what that was for

thanks, my curiosity satisfied. I think with average amount of viewers around 500 everytime TAR stream is close to the top anyway? But if it is important we could all push it as many times as TAR needs :)

You guys are doing an absolutely GREAT job covering all the action. Thanks for your hard work in bringing this to our livingrooms. Keep up the GREAT work. Looking forward to purchasing the PPV this weekend. Thanks again TAR and all the commentators.
