I think the only way it would sell is if TAR had a mixed scotch doubles but even then I don't see it being profitable. I like to watch the top ladies play but most of the time, their matches can be rather long.
Getting back to the mixed scotch doubles idea... I would like to see SVB/Jennifer Baretta v Johnny Archer/Alison Fisher type of lineup.

Was there a shot clock? I've seen races to 11 go almost that long between men when there was no shot clock.

Id shoot myself in the face before watching her play pool again.
The Rousey vs Webb all around was a very good DVD set from TAR back inthe day. Took place at one of the Derbys (I think 2008). Im gonna have to fire that back up one day.
After all this time, I still haven't watched the banks on this. When the match started, I ran up to my room to get something. By the time I got back in the action room, the banks set was over.

From what I understand, TAR pays players' expenses and there's some guaranteed prize money -- win or lose.
With a doubles tournament you just doubled the expenses, regardless of the sex of the players.
Do you really think a mixed doubles match would draw enough MORE viewers to cover the added expenses? I doubt it get as many viewers as a top men's match.

I'd bet on Kelly if she and Chris played a long set on TAR. I think it would be close but I think Kelly cold take it down.
I think a match like that would in fact be great for TAR.
I do not know how much interest it would draw really, perhaps it would based on curiosity factor. I would bet you a little something taking Chris. What game would they be playing? I am assuming 9 ball because I do not think she can beat Chris in 10 ball or any other game on the table. Alternating break format or winner breaks would be another huge thing too or whether they use a magic rack.
