TAR match with top female players?

I'll bet on Bartram playing any female including Kelly and give JB 10% of his money back.

A couple of things here, I think that the Chris Vs ?? top female may get some attention as the women would like to see Chris get beat and I am sure there are a few men who would love to see Chris get beat by a female player.
Now I don't think anyone should be holding their breath waiting for this to happen although they are great ideas for 2 top female pros or the male vs Female match I just don't see if happening not with the TOP females. They don't do anything for cheap and so the cost for TAR would be massive, There is a chance that the top ladies would want $5k even if they lose if they are going to travel and spend 3 days playing. So if $5k is what the potential loser gets the winner gets at least $7,500. So now they are at $12,500 plus expenses. I am not sure they can get enough viewers to be honest. Just my opinion

I had a thread here at AZ asking who thought they could beat Yu Ram Cha. Lots of guys posted lots of BS about what they knew (AZ style) but as I recall, only Bartram stepped up and said he would beat her. I figure Bartram is a pretty good judge of speed and he seemed way confident in what he was saying.

I think its a great idea for a TAR match. Lets say Chris vs Jasmine or Yu Ram or Kelly (I'm just guessing these gals all play about the same speed). What would you think would be a spot good enough to put some drama in the match?

Thanks

Kevin

I know what the right line is but I'm not putting that out here.... They're saying they can win even, they can put their money where their mouth is. Just in case they don't bet all of their money on the first play we have several options to get it all, I will say that.

Chris Bartrum has the best of it against any of them in a long TAR match. If the girls had a chance don't you think they would be out there matching up more often? Most of them have trouble beating your local shortstops!

Seems a lot of guys here may have a hidden agenda hoping for a matchup with a male player. When Kelly Fisher gets trounced by a lower echelon pro like Bartram (if that indeed occurred), wouldn't that just prove once and for all that even the top women can't compete with the men?

I think we need to save the "Battle of the Sexes" for TV, where it can get milked for all they can get out of it and get pool in the public eye again. A TAR match, no matter how financially successful, will only bring in a tiny percentage of potential viewers nationwide.

How about Allison Fisher, Karen Corr, Kelly Fisher, Ga Young Kim, Jasmin Ouschan and Jeanette Lee in a 10-ball round robin like Accu-Stats did with the one-hole a few weeks ago? That would get every chick player on Earth interested, don't you think?

Smart business for them since they have about 5 Pro tournaments to play in a year.

Besides, I'm sure once JB wins well over $100K, he would take care of his female horse nicely.

I hear what you are saying.

I don't know who "they" are beside JB. Everybody seems to be firmly on the side of Bartram in this proposed tussle, and as I'm sure you know, that type of overwhelming favoritism rarely leads to action.

OMGWTF vs whateverhisname was was a great TAR matchup and stirred super interest here at AZ. My guess is that is we could find a line that would at least make it dramatic and get a woman to step into the box it would be a very popular match. I know Chris would be up for it as he seems to be up for anything.

I'm fairly certain that if one of them were to step to the plate that the WPBA would tell them to cease and desist or face sanctions from the tour.... It's all bad PR for them.

I'd be willing to bet JB doesn't actually bet on this...call me a locksmith.

I think what John said was he knew a guy that would put Kelly in the box against a player of Bartram's speed and that if it happened he would be betting on Kelly.

I know what Bartram would be up for it. Now all we need is TAR and "the guy" and Kelly to be up for it and we've got action.

Whoops.

Right you are.

Well there goes that.

Hey Kevin, I know exactly what John was saying as I have heard it 121+ times before in the past on here....old news!

Not just this thread but the dozen others with a lot of different posters saying they think the woman will win. Its always Chris they throw under the bus too. Well, if he's under there, we may as well try to steal some $ if they ever find enough blood to pump thru the old pumper to ACTUALLY make themsleves bet......

I'm bummed. Saw is right. Its not gonna happen and not for reasons of not being able to find a competitive spot.

I'm bummed.

I had it as Jasmine vs Bartram in my mind. I have no idea what it would take to make that match close, but I would have loved to see it and the AZ thread before the match would have been epic.

I'm bummed.

I hear ya man, sort of the world we live in with those set of rules. They need some AZ billiards stipulations put in there!

Does the WPBA even still exist (maybe there's hope yet) ?

WAIT !!!!!!!

You know what!!!!!?????

With the new TAR format its more of an exhibition that it is "action". Maybe the WPBA would see that as a good thing?

Or would they be opposed fearing that their top talent might get hammered even with a spot?

I never really saw it as anyone tossing Chris under the bus. I think the proposition is top tier female pro vs just short of top tier male and Chis fits the bill and everybody knows he has heart.

I am pretty sure Chris Bartram posted in a thread before saying he would beat any female player gambling and was actively trying to get any of them to play.

Well, if you want players to provide audio too, I am not sure Bartram is your guy anymore. I think he is not going to talk any shit and I don't think the top Asian ladies talk Merican goodly enough.

It is not BJKing vs. Bobby (whatever his last name was)
