I think it is time for a "fire power" show.

"Who can beat SVB?"

If anyone can, "WANG CAN" can!

I'm not saying Wang Can can beat SVB, but that does have "cheerleading-type" catchy phrase doesn't it? Hope it doesn't stick in my head all day. :)

I think a race to 100 10-ball would be a good match. Would be kind of like "Kato" matching up with the "Green Hornet". They both have extreme skills, but also weaknesses that the other may exploit. The first one to 100 gets to snatch the cueball from JCIN's hand and whatever money his other hand may hold.

I think dazz is right when he mentioned that multi set race is more exciting than race to 100. Best out of 5, race to 25.

Shane vs one of the elite young guns. Wang can, ko pin, biado, or lee van
 
Sounds like good match to me on paper. Who is Shane NOT the favorite in 10 ball race to 100? I don't like the race to 100. If someone gets a big lead on day 1 and plays even on day 2 it's usually over. Johnnyt

TAR is the Shane show. Justin does a great job getting the players, when Shane isn't playing. Getting Dennis and Bustamante in the studio would be awesome!

I got Alex vs Bustamante. It didnt make a dime. People thought they are buddies and just going through the motions so they didnt buy. Shane sells. You want to call TAR the Shane show fine. Whatever. I am in business to make a living. It is usually a pretty good idea to sell what people want to buy.

Dennis and Bustamante playing each other would be lucky to break even. Either one of them playing Shane means I could actually stand to make some money. Which would you do?

SVB is (arguably) the BEST player in the USA (based upon rankings/wins/etc.) and yet many people say he CAN'T compete with the "elite" INTERNATIONAL players.

This match allows people to seem him play one of the world's top international players outside of a "tournament" setting with their shorter races. It would be even better if it was a WINNER TAKE ALL match.

I will say what I say every time Wang,Ko, Yang or any other guy who lives on the other side of the world comes up: You get them, I will get Shane and $5000 for them to play for. Love to see it happen. But between the language barrier, travel costs and scheduling issues the only way any of those matches will happen on TAR is through shear luck.

Unless someone wants to pay for the Asian guys to get to Vegas and add money to the prizefund to make them think its worth the trip in which case we can do it in two weeks.

From what I can gather from many of the posters on here, SVB will play for the cash as well as in tournaments. I'm sure if ENOUGH of his backers were to put up a stack of dough it might entice some of the Chinese top guns to visit Las Vegas with their backers and/or money.

The pay from TAR could just be the incentive to get the match lined up. It would cover their expenses if they didn't live it up Hollywood-style.

Chinese like to gamble.

There were talks with some of Ko's people this July. Its not as easy as you think it would be. I have tried off and on for years. Truth be told my bet is the match would not sell that well anyway simply because so many in the US do not know the Asian players. I will still do a match with one of the Asian champions if I can but I'm not gonna kill myself trying.

Ok, I'll go next. I propose TAR host a Mosconi cup rematch with all possible player combinations to cover the "what would've happened if ___________" scenarios. Justin can figure out the scheduling, money, and logistics for everything. I just want to see it.
 
It would be awesome if just 5000 of the billions and billions of people from china would pay to watch a chinese/taipei player vs shane.

Guy 1: "My guy is the world champion!"

Guy 2: "No he AIN'T! My guy can kick his azz any day of the week!"

Guy 1: "BS"

Guy 2: "BET THEN!"

According to some people "NOBODY has EVER beaten a REAL CHAMPION until the MONEY IS ON THE LINE!" They don't care how many tournaments somebody has won if the person never bet a dime.

I'm of the impression that there are some "world beater" players around the world who can beat ANYBODY on a GIVEN day. How they stand up against another "world beater" over a long series sometimes settles the arguments (at least for a day or two).

You want to see the world beaters that can beat anybody on a given day... Go to the Philippines. Justin can only do so much. How many TAR matches have you actually bought?

I've lived in the Philippines for 3 years and also in Taipei for 3 years. I know anybody can be beaten on a given day...even there.
 
I think wang can resides in the u.s, at least short term. I`ve seen him on stream and on a lot of brackets from smaller tournaments.
 
Hell I could watch Shane and Alex battle every weekend.
I would like to see Shane barking a little more or some sort of title that the other players in the world want to own. Kinda like the MC title. It's easy to avoid a tuff game if no one is barking at you.
