I agree, they just keep getting better and better. The video was outstanding, the commentating was outstanding and the extra camera angles made it more interesting.
I love the camera angles from straight behind, so a person can view their stroke and grip on shots. I like the straight headon shots so a person can view their posture and bridge and followthru.
I like the closeup shots of the cueball while their cueing it, but it's a fine line there, because if your watching a closeup of them cueing the cueball, you might miss the actual shot or it will appear to be disjointed.
The only views I'm not crazy about, are the ones that zoom in on some of the balls and your view and perception gets all whacked out. You don't get a realistic view of what's going on. hard to explain, but maybe others feel the same way.
I hate watching pool on TV, because you can't learn about the things I just talked about above.
I can't stand watching a stupid camera right in front of the pocket to watch someone shoot a 1 foot shot in. I CAN'T STAND THAT!! If I was ever good enough to be on TV, I would probably get kicked off the tour for letting my cue "slip" out of my hands when the cameraman did that to me. What a unecessary shark job that is.. for what?
TAR - beings they are all about pool for the hard core pool fan, already have been bringing us this...
1. Lots of non stop pool, especially at the Derby. When they go somewhere, your going to see lots of pool.
2. Your going to see all of the top players and your also going to see some of the local players at events like Hard Times.
3. Your going to get a great view of the table, several views of it.
4. Your going to see MONEY Matches, for us people that love GAMBLING matches.
5. Your going to get pros in the booth and regular joes in the booth
6. Your going to get a small group of people working their ass off to bring it all to you, and probably taking a loss at many events. I can't give them enough props for that. I have great admiration for small startups like them, that do it for the love of pool first and to try and make a little something secondly. Not make it and put it in your pocket, but to put it back into better equipment.
NOW... if they could start showing camera angles of grips, strokes, stances, cueing of the cueball... thats the type of stuff that is very educational for us pool players, and not something you have EVER seen anywhere else.
I have to search thru a entire DVD sometimes to find one shot of a closeup of a players grip and what happens on his warmups, the backswing and the follow thru.
THanks TAR!!!!
