The whole production was almost like watching the matches on TV. The best I've seen on the stream were from China that were really being broadcasted on tv all around Aisa (probably many more camers). TAR with Runoutmedia was very close to as good...very close. The camerawork was very good. I like to see where the player is hitting the QB when he's/she's stroking. With great camerawork like that you can learn and enjoy the matches so much more. I hope all of the 600+ viewers that can, will support TAR and Runoutmedia by buying their products and buying their PPV. Johnnyt

Easily the best I have ever seen, and I've seen quite a few.Outstanding.

Like you Johnny, I enjoyed the cue on cue angles.

Also, The Billy v Frosty booth commentary was the most enjoyable I have ever heard. The squabbling, bickinging, second guessing coupled with the incredible knowledge and insight was as entertaining as possible. Quite literally laugh out loud funny at times.

I said in the chat, and I mean it, those two give espn the 4 and out. Espn would do well to tune in and emulate....it would hold, entertain and educate viewers imo. They sounded like two people on the rail who almost like each other lol.

GREAT STREAM! Well done TAR.

Yup, I agree.. Total class production as usual from TAR.. They get better and better all of the time. Great job fellas!

Total agreement on production & commentary. Great job guys. The commentators make the world of difference when watching high level play as a learning tool as well as the spirit of the competition. Remeniscent of some accu stats w/ Grady,Buddy,Varner, Davenport & all the other top players who would sit in & share their wealth of knowledge unselfishly. A+++++

I love the 16 x 9 support

I couldn't agree more the quality was tremendous and looking at the stream in 16 x 9 gudness made a huge difference. I concur, support TAR & the sponsors. It is very important for viewers to make sure they have the latest version of Shock-wave flash from Adobe to view this high quality video. Make sure its up to date and you won't have problems with your browser or tabs crashing.

TAR best work to date. I look forward to the rest of the week. I wonder if the will have the same kind of production for TAR 18

Outstanding stream!!! I loved the back and forth between Scott and Bill too. It was so good, that for the first time I was scrambling around the house looking for a way to hook my laptop up to my big screen. I found the cord and got it squared away in time to watch the second half of Chris' match. It really was like watching TV. Again, you all did a great job. Keep up the good work. I will be tuning in again tonight!!!

I agree, they just keep getting better and better. The video was outstanding, the commentating was outstanding and the extra camera angles made it more interesting.

I love the camera angles from straight behind, so a person can view their stroke and grip on shots. I like the straight headon shots so a person can view their posture and bridge and followthru.

I like the closeup shots of the cueball while their cueing it, but it's a fine line there, because if your watching a closeup of them cueing the cueball, you might miss the actual shot or it will appear to be disjointed.

The only views I'm not crazy about, are the ones that zoom in on some of the balls and your view and perception gets all whacked out. You don't get a realistic view of what's going on. hard to explain, but maybe others feel the same way.

I hate watching pool on TV, because you can't learn about the things I just talked about above.

I can't stand watching a stupid camera right in front of the pocket to watch someone shoot a 1 foot shot in. I CAN'T STAND THAT!! If I was ever good enough to be on TV, I would probably get kicked off the tour for letting my cue "slip" out of my hands when the cameraman did that to me. What a unecessary shark job that is.. for what?

TAR - beings they are all about pool for the hard core pool fan, already have been bringing us this...

1. Lots of non stop pool, especially at the Derby. When they go somewhere, your going to see lots of pool.

2. Your going to see all of the top players and your also going to see some of the local players at events like Hard Times.

3. Your going to get a great view of the table, several views of it.

4. Your going to see MONEY Matches, for us people that love GAMBLING matches.

5. Your going to get pros in the booth and regular joes in the booth

6. Your going to get a small group of people working their ass off to bring it all to you, and probably taking a loss at many events. I can't give them enough props for that. I have great admiration for small startups like them, that do it for the love of pool first and to try and make a little something secondly. Not make it and put it in your pocket, but to put it back into better equipment.

NOW... if they could start showing camera angles of grips, strokes, stances, cueing of the cueball... thats the type of stuff that is very educational for us pool players, and not something you have EVER seen anywhere else.

I have to search thru a entire DVD sometimes to find one shot of a closeup of a players grip and what happens on his warmups, the backswing and the follow thru.

THanks TAR!!!!

CaliRed,

I want to thank YOU personally because last night, before putting in another Accu-Stats, I quickly scanned the main forum and saw your reminder about the live-streaming! Thanks!!! I would have missed the Reyes vs Gomez match if it weren't for you posting up like you did! Thank you!

Also, Scott Frost has really come into his own as a pool giant. The reason I say that is that not only can he play, he is one super-duper (:D) commentator! Him and Billy just jelled perfectly! Scott Frost has a long and very successful road ahead of him in pooldom, both on and off the table! It would be great beyong belief if Grady would have also been able to be partnered up with them, but it was still a very special time listening to Scott & Bill.

Lastly, how do we properly say "Thank You" to Justin & Chad & company at T.A.R.? What they provide for us is awefully special stuff! I'm so grateful for their hard work, real professionalism in their productions and most of all, I really appreciate the deep love they have for our great sport! Thank you guys!!!

TAR is the best

What a great streaming job from everyone involved!! The best to date that I have ever seen and its great for people that love this game that do not get the chance to travel very much and or live in the middle of no where to be able to watch such great events...... Good luck to everyone at TAR in the future and I would gladly pay to watch anything they broadcast on PPV.
