I know. I consider myself a guinea pig of sorts as I pay for the streams and then spend five hours trying to tweak things on my end in order to view the match. I am not giving up though.
This time I checked my download speed to Las Vegas. over 600kbs. To Arizona it was less then 200kbs. TAR says I need 300kbs. So........ if I get lucky then whatever ISP the Riviera is using will also have download speeds for me at more than 300 and I will finally get to watch a TAR PPV event.
Funnily enough, when they broadcast the free feeds from UStream I get those pretty much with no problem. Seemingly it's only the Pay Per View provider that I have problems with. I got your Efren/Scott match pretty much in real time through UStream.
I think someone said that when the UStream feed gets more users then UStream allocates more bandwidth which is why it could be better on that. I have no idea - it's all voodoo to me and the fact that I can even get a frame delayed glimpse of something happening in real time around the world is still magical to me.
To me this is like what the telephone must have been like in the early 1900s.
Imagine what we are going to tell our grandkids when we are 80.
Son, you can't imagine how hard it was, I had to manually tweak the bandwidth both ways in my day. We all had to be computer experts back then. You got it easy boy, just think of something you want to see and it appears before your eyes. Back in my day we had to spend 3 minutes typing and clicking on an ancient system called Google. You don't even know what a keyboard is do you son?

Good luck TAR!
