Looking forward to getting the PPVs. One thing though, is it possible to have your PPV provider not lock the size of the video player window? I am not talking about the browser window which can be resized that holds the player window. It would be nice to have an option other than the locked default size of 6 or so inches or expanding to full screen, for those that have large monitors and want to have two or three things up on screen. I understand resizing can lessen the image quality a little on the user's end, but the user should know that anyways. (And I have gone through the whole multiple browser thing to try to get a work around).

Thanks.

Oh good! I'm glad you guys finally stepped up and are doing something big

I was going to stream the entire thing live from my iPhone, but I guess you guys can handle it.

On a serious note, I'm happy that they'll be showing all your matches LIVE in the hotel rooms and casino floor for all the BCAPL players.

Can't wait to see what the new equipment spits out to us! Plus the 3 cameras and human beings, operating some of them:D

Tell Dave or Nathan or whoever's running one of them, to give us some good shots directly behind the player (if they're right handed) just slightly to the right of them so we can see the shot too... but to give us a good shot of their stroke. I want to see their grip and what they do with it in their warmup strokes and follow thru.

Last years was very enjoyable to watch, and I'm sure this years will be even more so.

Good Luck!!!!! Damn, I wish I was there getting more footage to put together for everyone:sorry:

I will be there and think this is going to be a great event. Looking forward to seeing you all there. :)

Live in hotel rooms ? You mean paying daily rate for the IP in their room and then viewing on a laptop that you haul from home ? or is this available on the pay TV somehow ?

You can watch the live stream for free on the tv in your room. Our feed is being run through one of the hotels in house channels. You just flip to the channel and it will be there.

We tested it last year and have made some improvements to the system this year. Mark Griffin has pushed hard for this with the hotel to add value to the people who support the event by staying at the Riv.

Shouldn't the flyer say $40 for 5 days? 17th-21st is 5 days. $40 for 4 days isn't any cheaper than $10 per day. :D -edit, nevermind I see you stated it correctly in your post above.

Also, would it be possible to do an evening only price? Some people work during the day so they can't watch those matches.

Wow, that's awesome! I look forward to it then! Thanks.

Yep, it was pretty cool last year! I watched some of the Grand Masters play in the pit area and then headed up to my room to chill for a few hours between matches and could watch from my room. If they improved it at all, it will be fantastic to watch.

This 1Pocket Tourney sounds cool. I think I'm going. Wasn't this tournament held in Vegas until about 2007 or so...?

US Open One Pocket

Yep.

Held in Las Vegas in 2004 and 2005.

In conjunction with the BCAPL National 9-Ball Championships.

Held at the Plaza.

They cancelled all standing events when they went through a financial reorganization. Too bad - the event was growing every year.
