Tascarella Hoppe

If I were a bettin man I'd say it was a short splice cue but I'm no Tasc expert. If you Pm Fast_N_Loose here he could probably tell you for sure

WOW Super cue

Now that's the kind of cue I would love to play with. What a Fine Looking Cue.:smile:

AZ members - Does anyone know the answer to Ill Gotten Gain's question?

From your pictures, it is NOT a full splice. All the Tascarella full splice cues that I have owned and seen are easily identified by the fact that the veneers come together (usually at the second veneer) before the wrap. As this has a gap between all veneers at the wrap, I would have to say it is a short spliced cue. Still a great buy, and a beautiful cue.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. Can't believe it is still available after a week's time. Bump for a few more offers.

Cue IMO, is a short splice.

There is no way to tell for sure with the wrap on the cue, but an ebony long splice would be very rare. (yes there are some, but not many)

With a short and long splice laying aside of each other, you can't tell which is which with the wrap on. (there are a few exceptions) I have pictures showing all this somewhere, but you'll have to take my word for it, I wasn't able to find them in my quick search of my shop cpu. They may be on one of my portable hard drives.

Curious.... Why are you selling it after just buying it a few months ago.
Beautiful cue by the way.

If you knew Matt, you would know the answer to that question.. Matt buys the best of the best when it comes to cues.. His cues are always pristine and unplayed for the most part.. He just changes his mind once in a while..That's all! Good luck Matty..

I don't know Matt... It's why I asked the question.

Tasc

Cue is not a full splice. Talked with Pete last year about doing a full spliced ebony cue. Pete let me know that he would gladly make me one if I wanted a 22+ ounce cue. This cue isn't nearly heavy enough to be full spliced. The only ebony full spliced ebony cue (that isn't cored which Pete won't do) that I've seen on AZ lately is a beautiful Hercek that weighs in at 22 oz.
