I was looking forward to the CSI invasion on Phoenix this week....for good reason. 3 of the top pool players in the world were in town for 'Pool School'. Charlie Bryant, Earl Strickland, and Cory Duel.

12 students participated, and had a GREAT time.

Took a few photos throughout the evening....(seems these three players weren't the only stars of the night)

Take a look...even T Wheels is starting to be famous, with people asking for stick signatures!!!!

Dang it, I thought after I beat Earl 3 - 0 that I would be taller than him.

Where is Breakers? I think thereare a few ofthem around the country

It's in Greensboro NC. I think Earl may have been there once or 5000 times. ;) Johnny stopped into Breakers and did a school session at Gate City Billiards - while commuting to the last US Open with Shawn Putnam.

Johnny knows the lay of the land in Greensboro, but for years, Earl was much of the lay of the land here. I hope Earl is getting a lot out of his recent move to Meucci-land. Mark, how's his take on the move? Have he and Bob developed the new plutonium powered triple-weight-shifting 82,000 rpm pile driver Everest tipped cue yet? ;)

Great pic's Rick. Can you rename any pic's to identify any reg's here on AZ land? I see good2back1 ;), stuckart? Who else?

Thanks for sharing Rick.

Jerry would know better than me.....I know a few of them, he knows them all.

I did hold back a photo or two.....for something special!! You'll have to wait....Headin' up to Mt. Kitt for the day.

Rick such awesome collection of photos. You're the best!

I loved how you managed to capture the energy of participants along with colorful personalities of Team CSI.

Couple shots were amazing like the one that you took of Hill Billy's powerful and perfectly controlled break.
** If Hill Billy's beard gets any longer he will have to tuck it in when playing all ball foul matches, LOL.

I love the intense focus of on Corey and one of his gentleman student/player. Corey was hunched over to see where the ball was going and it shows how intense the experience was.
** Corey looked like a pool model on one shot. I think he should make a poster out of that shot :)

Earl looked very focused and confident. Serious look on the table but all smiles with people.

Cantrill... what can I say? He is that SUPER GLUE that bonds anything to everything! That is the best way I can explain. Anyone who can manage and travel with these colorful pool superstars without 1) getting killed, 2) running away 3) quit or 4) loosing his mind is quite a talent :) Maybe he is already #4... only logical explanation, LOL.

Oh, another favorite pic... that guy wearing BCAPL cap - sorry, a little favoritism there :)

The rest don't post on AZB.

Back2Good1 is wearing the BCAPL Hat and has a sneaky mustache
Stuckart - I'm in the blue Polo
Ebony Kelly (my scotch partner) - Sporting the Bandana
Amanda Pulley in the Flannel Print
Ed Scott - Looks like the Quaker Oats guy
Patrick Zientek - Red Hat, In & Out t-shirt (runs local newspaper)
Tom - Light Blue button down shirt
Jason Polk - Young shaved head Black Kid
Jim Money - Bahama Shirt (Salmon/Orange)

Charlie is breaking with My Break Cue in those 2 pictures. The Cueball went another foot in the air. I had no idea my cue had that in it.

Thanks for the pics! It was a great time... and I would do it again in a heart beat.

Rick - are you gonna come up for the wild ball tourny at Kolby's this weekend? I hear some of the pro's might hang around to play in it.
