I had a Ted Harris cue. If you want to know his reputation, call Kevin Varney. They seem to use the same business standards.poolplayer2093 said:i hear it's pretty long and he's hard to work with. i;ve also heard they're worth the wait and i've only seen one for sale so that might tell you something

I dealt with him when he was in Maryland. He had no excuses. I had to get the BBB involved, as well as the ACA. He no longer appears as a member of the ACA. I'm not the only person who's has issues with Ted. Like I said, he reminds me of Kevin Varney.CocoboloCowboy said:I will try and defend Ted as I know of some of his problems. He move from Maryland, to GA to Partner with another Guy, apparently that did not work out.
He moved to Florida and got STOMPED BAD BY A HURRICANE. He is back in business, and building Cue, and doing repair again.
Think he is back doing what he did well. Building & Repair Cues, and keeping promises.

How many years ago was that?Shawn Armstrong said:I dealt with him when he was in Maryland. He had no excuses. I had to get the BBB involved, as well as the ACA. The year was 2001. Offered 100% money back guarantee. I wasn't happy with the cue the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th time I got the cue back from him after he "fixed" the problems. I asked for my money back - he wouldn't give me a refund and basically used the silent treatment as his response. I had to get Jim Buss involved in the matter on behalf of the ACA, and the BBB had to get involved. Unfortunately, I never received my refund, and was stuck with a cue that wasn't built to my specs, and due to all the shipping back and forth, as well as Ted's "not so honest" shipping methods (claimed twice the package's value on insurance form - unfortunately my taxes and brokerage were based on the insured amount), the $500 cue ended up costing me $1100, plus time wasted.Cuedog said:How many years ago was that?
Look, I know and understand, first hand, the problems Ted had with delays and empty promises. But, I also haven't heard anything lately that would lead me to believe that things are business as usual.
I'm not trying to protect the guy at all, but at the same time, I don't believe his mistakes deserve a life sentence.
