Classy post, Liz. Sponsors rarely get much press in our sport, but those who help provide opportunities for pro players are key members of our pool community.

Wishing you good luck in Michigan City.

Liz is always great about pimping her sponsors. Unfortunately what SJM said is very true with this industry and Liz is very much the exception rather than the rule. Too many players and promoters think that sponsors should just give out of the goodness of their hearts but Liz and a few others understand how it works. When someone sponsors you, you make sure they get their money's worth in promotion. If a sponsor can't figure out how a sponsorship is going to make them money, they'll kill the deal. You show that you can bring attention to the company or customers to the door and the sponsors will keep writing the checks.

The players who are willing to work hard for their sponsors get sponsorship dough. The others don't no matter how good of a pool player they are.

Best of luck in Indiana Liz! You know I'll be rooting for you (in a totally nice, non-stalkerish way of course)!
