I don't know anyone more devoted to pool and the players. Tim's sat there for day's at her own expense doing the live feed for this event. I know that all will agree with me that she is the "BOMB"

I know that you all have thanked her in different areas of this forum, but this is my personal TY to her for a job done way better than any of the others in this business. We are lucky to have her as a member, and I am lucky to have her as a good friend.

With love,

Eydie

Eh..... she's a little bit of ok, I guess....

yeah, not shabby for a girl! :D

Seriously, Timberly, appreciate all the trouble you went to giving us updates. It was really nice for those of us that couldn't make a 2 day trip to PA.

Wow, I saw the live update thread, and I haven't had a chance to read it in its entirety yet, but I'm heading there after this post! :p

I didn't get to see some of the matches at the Pro 8-Ball event, and this will make for some GREAT reading to see what happened.

Eydie, it was great hanging out with you railside in the action pit (LOL). The most memorable event at the action pit for me was the tall stakehorse lady with the long brown hair. If you were there, you'd remember her. She was taking all side bets and backing some pro players for mighty hefty sums. I heard she backed Corey Deuel for 6 baggies, and he lost!

She was a very generous action lady, and tipped Keith a C-note for his fine performance when she won a chunk of dough betting on him. Cha-ching! :D

This year, the action pit wasn't as intense as others. The action never seemed to stay at a high pitch. Sparky Ferrell, though, was the big winner at this year's SBE. By all accounts who eye-witnessed his fine performance, it is rumored that he took in a hefty sum. Like some players are wont to do with their brethren, he gave Keith a little jelly roll, 100 bucks, which was very much appreciated by Team McCready. :D

There were four or five challenge tables along side the pit which many a player enjoyed, B.J. Ussery, Shannon Daulton, Ryan McCreesh, Jason Kirkwood, Bob Romano, Scooter, Tony "T-Rex" Chohan, Charlie Bryant, Ronnie Wiseman, Corey Deuel, Luc Salvas, and many others, with games ranging from 20 to 50, but never elevating to previous years' highs. [A sign of the times?]

This year, the high-stakes action games were played at a nearby pool room. I heard Rodney Morris and Chris Bartrum matched up for 5 large sand bangs, with Rodney barbecuing his opponent with ease. Rodney has a new hair style. I wouldn't have recognized him upon first glance. He's shaved his head. Gabe Owen's hair was very blond, looking very much like he's enjoying life in sunny Florida.

BTW, this year's SBE had no Filipino super stars in attendance. I guess they're out and about enjoying their recent earnings here in the States, pocketing most of the biggest events in terms of monies, Marlon Manalo at the IPT KOTH and the Texas Hold'Em Billiards Tournament, Santos winning 70,000-plus at the Skins Billiards Championship, and Francisco Bustamante and Efren Reyes winning 80,000 and 200,000 respectively. :o

The no-smoking was a good move, IMO. Even the smokers were commenting that the environment was better. So that was a nice change I think for the SBE.:)

Now I'm off to go read Timberly's updates!:p

Hey Jam,

I have to agree that this year's pit action wasn't quite as intense as past year's. A couple of us were listing all the missing bartable action stars of past expo's. It was good to see you guys again.

See ya somewhere, sometime!

I couldn't have done any of it if you hadn't trusted me with your computer. ;)

I wasn't up there alone either... Eydie spent a great deal of time sitting next to me and helping me keep up with the scores and what was happening on the tables while I typed.

Eydie was also VERY instrumental in getting us donations for the raffle. (a thread about that will come tomorrow when I have time to go through everything) Eydie knew most of the vendors out there and walked me around introducing me to people.

If I'm the "BOMB" then you're the DA BOMB ;)

Thank YOU Eydie for all that you did. It was awesome to finally hang out with you in person. :)

Jim, it was a pleasure meeting you also. Thank you for introducing yourself to me. It was nice to have people come up & say something to me at the event instead of coming on here afterwards and saying "I saw you but didn't say anything."

LOL, my buddy said you raised an eyebrow on Thur night.... When we got downstairs that night I went to the ATM machine.... it didn't work... the only ATM in the bldg that worked was all the way over at the Radisson. To save me a lot of needless walking, Gary said not to worry about it until the next day. Just wanted to make sure you didn't get the wrong idea. ;)

Hey Barbara,

As pool jargon goes "You have truly got the nuts", you should be packaging and selling them. Thanks for the bag, I am savoring every last morsel.

See ya somewhere, sometime!

Joey, stop with the rep points, please. I appreciate it, I really do but it's time to stop with the rep points please. A lot of people left me rep points and I appreciate it but it's not necessary, especially not now that it's all over with and everyone knows what happend. :p

Thank you again for your campaign to get me rep points but the race is over now. ;)
