Thanks for all the PM's and E-mails

WOW JT!! Glad you are feeling up after all that happened!! I have had way to many botched procedures by our medical 'professionals' so I truly empathize with your situation.. Some times I wish my doctor was as good to me as my vet is to the damn dog!!!

Get Well!!!

Waddiya wanna do?

Nice to see you posting again.Don't believe we've met but I think we'd
get along just fine.I pm'ed you cause I had a feeling.
Now I feel better 'cause I'm not usually that thoughtful.

So get better...the road is still there:smile:

As the others said, you're one tough bugger. Good to hear that you're upright and doing what you can, well along on your way to speedy recovery.

Wow, Johnyt...

I hope them doctors fixed you up right and wishing you a speedy recovery.

You have been missed...

I wondered where you went. There were a number of posts that I looked for your particular take on.
Nice to have you back.
Now get back to telling us how you really feel:grin:.

Good to hear you are recovering JT, I was unaware of your health issues.

You picked the wrong time of the year to go and have a stroke, you know everybody focuses on Derby as soon as Christmas is over.

I really can’t take all the credit for getting back on my feet. My lovely wife of 45 years has to get a lot of the credit. She is an old school no nonsense ER and Critical Care nurse. There was a few days that I just about gave up and just laid in the bed and thought “poor me”. She told me I was never a quitter and I wasn’t going to start now. She did little things like move things so I had to get out of bed, got me to stop using the walker and bedside commode. I was pissed at her then but realize now that she knew me, and how to handle me. Tough love I guess. LOL. Johnnyt

Better renew her contract for another 45 years, Johnny..:)

Sounds like your table is great therapy. Keep it up.

Glad you're back and doing ok. Must have been a rough time for you.
Be of Good Cheer!

Hope you feel better soon

I am really sorry to hear of this Johnny, I wish you well my friend. I hope soon your back at the game we all love so much ,,, <ED

please take care man. i enjoy reading your posts and losing you would be a detrement to this forum. on a side note - i get gout attacks once in a while and that stuff is a mother f'er, nothing compaired to your other situations but that's a cruel cherry on top. get well and be well brother.

Speedy Recovery!

Thank you to all that sent PM’s and e-mails asking where I was. For those that don’t know, I had another stroke and a sinus vessel bleed-out. I was in two hospitals from 12/30- 1/5 (They could not stop the bleeding at the first hospital=idiots). I spent two weeks in bed when I got home. Couldn’t walk or use my right hand (it was like a claw). Plus I had a Gout flare-up on both feet the last day in the hospital that lasted a week. I’ve been rehabbing myself with a walker, dumbbells, and squeezing a rubber ball since I got home. As of today I can use my hand like normal and walk slowly for a few hundred feet at a time. I’m still weak as hell from loss of blood and in bed so long, but am feeling very lucky to be walking again.

On a pool note, I put my new extended Ridgeback Rails on today (all six pockets are 4”) and find my stroke is still fine. I even ran 5 out of the 9 racks of 9-ball with BIH w/o warming up or hitting a ball in a month. The table plays great with the extended rails. The pockets will get tougher as the rail cloth wears a bit. If I had input into re designing the Valley Table I’d go with all 6 pockets 4” and the Ridgebacks. Johnnyt

Sorry johnnyt, did not know about the stroke until now, I wish you a speedy recovery and may the Lord lay His favor upon you!

Johnnyt-

Just read about this. Glad you're making good progress.

Sounds like you have a good cornerman in your wife, finding the ways to motivate a fighter like you to get back in the ring.

Take care buddy
