The Action Report

I just want to stress how important it is to me and I know it is for TAR that as many people as possible go to theactionreport.com and purchase not only these live feeds they provide at all these awesome tournaments they go to but also some very cool action shirts and some very cool DVD's of wonderful and exciting past matches and Action Challenges. These guys are seriously doing a great thing for the sport we all love. They are giving us the chance to watch these great tournament matches from home if we can't make it to the tournaments. How can you beat that for the, in my opinon, low price they provide this for. I personally and I know I speak for a lot of other people when I say this, but I can't thank them enough. This is truely awesome and I feel spoiled everytime they provide live coverage of an event. So basically I am just asking all you great AZ people out there to please do anything you can to help support these guys. Even if its just going to the front page of their website and clicking the Donation button. These guys deserve it. They work very hard to provide a service I know we all enjoy and appreciate. The US Open Bar Table Championships are going on the rest of this week and they are providing quite a few days of free coverage and only couple days of terrific coverage on Pay Per View for only $15 and for that $15 you get to watch some of the best pool in the world for like 12 hours. You just can't beat it. And you have to realize us purchasing things like this is how they stay in business and allow us from the comfort of our own home to enjoy it. Anyway I just wanted to ask everyone in AZ land to please do anything you can to help keep THE ACTION REPORT going full speed ahead and buy the pay per view coverages, or purchase a shirt or two, or buy some amazing matches and action challenges on DVD. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED I PROMISE YOU THAT! TAR we love you and thank you for everything you do. Let me know if there is anything I can ever do to help. Thanks to all you AZer's for listening. Take care everyone and hope you're pool game is doing well ya never know you might be featured on a TAR Action Challenge. :)

I would donate but..

I would donate some money if the players that owed me would pay me.

Dad? Is that you?

Is the telecast any better during the pay per view period?

Whenever I watch during the free periods there is a lot of jerking motion, pauses and disconnects. It is very hard to follow and keep any interest.

I have cable from Comcast and it is supposed to have the fastest download available.

I am considering to help support them if it will allow them to get better equipment because it is great to be able to see the events that I am not able to attend. Even if I was there I could not get a better seat or view. It would be great to see it with better quality.

Ive bought the 'feed' twice. The first time I couldnt get close to seeing anything and then yesterday I got a 'viewer' but the screen was black except for very rare moments. I might have seen 2 balls made. Im 0-2 with TAR and doubt ill give it another try for a while. I appreciate their efforts but so far they aren't doing me much good.

For what its worth I wasn't getting anything on this latest match till I downloaded Firefox. I've got the latest updated windows media player but it wasn't enough. I didn't need it for the other action matches but it seems I do now. I've got broadband and I've gotten all the matches reasonably well.I used the refresh button at the DCC guite a bit but the Bar box has been coming in well. Don

Firefox helps... It is also safer than IE for everyday use. I suggest you guys try it

Work Hard????? Justin and Chad work their arses off. At the US Bar Table Championships they are putting in 18 hours a day to bring the fans free video feeds. Hopefully they will be able to ride out the lean times. If they don't survive I can't see their format ever succeeding. Justin and Chad are certainly putting out the effort for us.

I buy all their stuff even if I can't watch it. ...kinda like an investment into the future tourneys. I just DL'd Firefox and it REALLY helps. The stream is great tonite.....not perfect, but a hell of a lot better then anything on TV!

At the moment there are 29 users on TAR?.....WTF, come on people, help out the cause and see some excellent matches. TAR has the links to DL Firefox right on their website....very easy...... I also have Comcast cable and it took all of 30 seconds :D

i know it's not what you want to hear, but it's your problem, not TAR's. (meant in a respectful way)

there is nothing wrong with the streaming service they provide - if it doesn't work then there's a problem on your end. this is the same with a lot of other streaming services all over the internet. and a lot of computer problems in general. i know it can be frustrating with computers sometimes but that's the way it is.

I actually went to have a look and noticed that many of their links are broken, pointing to their perosnal hard drive instead of using relative pathing (computer talk for those who think im blabbering).
I looked for an email link to inform them, but didnt see one after a few minutes.

Guess ill try the site again in a week or so. I wont pay money for broken stuff, but i WILL help out a functional pool enterprise. Anything to help the game within reason.

There is a reason the links to the free stuff are not fixed yet. It is because I have been working my ass off to make sure the stuff people pay for works first.

I realize this makes no difference to most people but it is a fact.

The links should be fixed when we get home from Reno.If you want to see them before then just go www.stage6.com and search theactionreport. They will all come up.

It's working great for me with Firefox. I have it full screen on one of my dual monitors. If it is not full screen the small window will stop refreshing unless you click back on it. Nothing to do with the stream - but the video player. Ken Shuman and Stevie Moore doing solid commentary. 9 ball finals right now! Eight ball action the rest of the night.
