The Ballad of John and Lou, Part One

NJ is like NYC... only the bad guys get to have guns and the cops go from protect and serve to report and remove (dead bodies of the innocent)

JV

Very funny, Danny! :D

That's right -- and the laws in NJ have very strict guidelines in how firearms (even long guns) can be transported across state lines:

http://www.state.nj.us/njsp/about/fire_trans.html

Also, note that all non-NJ carrier permits are invalid in the state of NJ -- one must have a NJ carrier permit to carry while in NJ.

So all this talk about "glock" and "carrying" and etc. from non-NJ natives while in a NJ pool room is just bluster.

oh yes, and just one more thing. I think everyone knows I've had Spider on Ignore for a couple of years, but I did see you quoting him, Nick, and one part of his post kinda jumped out at me: "...however bad John looked, you looked at least that bad."

I don't know. I don't think we look the same at all :-)

John's Form v Lou's Form:

And hencr why I put my money on you. I figured win or lose, I'm betting with the guy with proper mechanics. I knew if JB got tired and/or agitated, the first thing that is gonna start breaking down is his mechanics... It had nothing do to with aiming... everyone does it their own way, and I have no problem with folks that take whatever aiming system that helps them make balls, but you can't make balls, and you can't get good leaves when you mechanics fall apart... I figured your mechanics were gonna be about the same give or take a few hiccups....

So you've seen a lot of people shot in pool rooms?

He's trying to say he's seen a lot of movies. In L.A., people don't go around talking crap to everyone they encounter either. He'd know that if he were telling the truth about anything.

I wasn't sure at the beginning, because JB talked so much crap about gambling, even barking at me all the time when I said I thought CTE was full of it. I shoulda taken him up on it. Actually, he's got a lifetime offer to play now. I wanted to wait to bet, but seeing as how he crawfished after being a life-long gambler, it wasn't to be. The trouble with running off at the mouth about how much you gamble and trying to high-roll people is that when your game comes out and it's C-rated(on a good day), you'd better have some water on hand to wash that foot down.

Somebody ought to jump on in here with some blue writing so we know who the bad people are.

Very funny, Danny! :D

Thought you'd get a kick out of that, Sean. ;)

I wasn't entirely kidding about Allentown, though. It's a very real place that used to be a lot like Harlan County is portrayed in the TV series "Justified". And it is only minutes from my door as well.

It's nicknamed "Allentown" by outsiders because everybody there is named "Allen". They all look alarmingly alike as well. Go figure. Actually, there are "Kathans" as well, and they each have there own road up there, and they really, really like to keep to themselves.

Here's a neat little story about our local hillbillies, and why they stayed when everybody else left the area.

http://www.nytimes.com/1993/04/12/nyregion/adirondack-hamlet-defies-time-and-help.html

So, when I tell folks I'm from New York and they ask me how I can stand being around so many people, living in a fourth floor walk-up infested with cockroaches, I just tell them I'm from "the other New York"... and send them directions to Allentown in case they should ever decide to visit.

John,

What astounds me the most about you is that you still haven't learned one of lifes most important lessons; "What goes around, comes around". Some call it karma, some call it the Golden Rule.

You still bring up ppl's personal and work lives, like its an available tool for you to screw ppl over with. Thats pretty despicable. I remember how you called the local town government on Jack Justis, trying to screw his business over by telling them to investigate JJ for running a business out of his home. Now, we all know that JJ runs a hobby out of his home, so there is no real business and nothing to see. The thing is, that is extremely low for a human being to do that to another, over what? Cuz you felt disrespected online??

Speaking of using governemnt and regualtory bodies, what was your involvement, in 2010, with reporting me to the SEC? By the way, I'm still in business, so apparently honesty and running a clean shop has merits.

I've been on Pool forums for over 15 years. For that matter, in all of Pool, not just the forums, I've gone to the extreme of coming to blows or nearly, with exactly two people; you, John Barton and Fast Larry. When I reflect on why, I see many, many similarities you two share. Many despicable personality traits. The worst trait is that you both feel that if you are slighted, then you can use any means and any lowness to hurt the other person. You both know no boundaries that decent ppl respect. Nothing is too low, if you feel someone rubbed you wrong.

This all goes back to "karma". You, John Barton, put so much bad stuff onto other ppl that if you turned up dead on a Monday, I would not be the only suspect. The list is long, John. I don't have to do it myself, I just need to be patient and let someone else do it. You put so much bad stuff out there, I'm sure you have to look over your shoulder everytime you are out and about. Think I'm wrong? Here's a quick example. You got into an online tiff with Mike Lalumiere. You, JB, got so incensed that you tried to find some extreme, over the top ways to screw with him including finding and harassing his elderly mother, to get at Mike. That is scumbag behavior. You know what?? You forgot about Mike, but he didnt forget about you!! Lou's surprise backer was Mike. Totally took you by surprise. Luckily for you, he only took you for $10k and not done something worse to you.

Take this and look inward, John. It's honest because I despise you and am not gonna sugar coat it, to spare your feelings. You can tell me to F off or you can take this valuable feedback and use it.

Eric

Will answer the rest later but I have NEVER reported you to anyone. Even if I wanted to I wouldn't have the first idea what to report you for.

Nothing you have to say to me would ever be considered valuable feedback by me.

I would love to list all the poor qualities you have exhibited as a human but the only ways to properly express them are bannable offenses.

You and liesomemore like to twist the truth. Neither of you could pass a lie detector test.

How about Jack Justis? Isn't it fact that you pulled that lowest rung of society move on him?

John, you've proven yourself to be a liar, welcher, a bully (at least you try to under the guise of poolroom woofing) and a general shady individual. So, the fact that you accuse me of being a liar carries no weight.

I have no idea if either of the above allegations are true, but I couldn't help but notice John read the above, denied the SEC reporting, and completely ignored the part about JJ.

Is it true John that you reported JJ to anyone?

You seemingly can't get banned for calling me a liar but I could get banned for calling you one. So I cannot express myself with rule breaking as you have.

But shall I post the message you sent me saying you would come to China to get me because you can "navigate a Mandarin speaking country"? Or the one where you said you would report me to the PSB (Chinese police ) so that they could make sure my papers are in order?

Or perhaps we should discuss the fact that you said I called you a " chink". An accusation that is untrue.

So let's just say that you are not without sin here. Not at all.

Funny that you speak of Karma because the way I see it you are due for some sort of bad karmic reaction and if such a thing happened then I would make a withdrawal in my own karmic account and celebrate your misfortune.

You seem to think losing to Lou is some sort of retribution but its not. It is simply poor preparation and carrying too much baggage into the match.

So don't try to paint it as more than that. Unlike you at least Lou's backer and Lou stepped up to play pool. You are the one who threatened me numerous times with bodily harm instead of playing pool.

So someday you should just go ahead and do what you threaten and see where it goes. Because you certainly don't have the balls to play pool for amounts that Lou and I wagered.

Is it true John that you reported JJ to anyone?

Okay, first John ignored Eric's comment about JJ. Then he ignored my question.

I'd say I have my answer. If you are the kind of person who would stoop low enough to do something like that, you deserve a hailstorm of crap raining down on you.

A lot of people can clearly see that JB has pulled some of the biggest douche moves over the years, whether it is trying to get Jack Justis in trouble for making cases in his garage by reporting him, or the more recent match with Lou.

It is sad how some people don't see through the bullshit drama and self-delusional garbage JB spews on here.

There was a time during the match that you could have been singing,

"...you know it ain't easy...you know how hard it can be...the way things are going...John could be on the hill with me."

Never a doubt. :)

oh, there was plenty of doubt.

Only time when two grown men get in a fight is when they are drunk.

The altercation must have been so funny between JB and this other guy.

Just a lot of theatrics in this match. Poor Lou.

Rich Lou.

Well, actually, it was pretty real, pretty intense, and no alcohol was involved.

Lou Figueroa

I think I have played more pool with Lou and any other person.

Since Lou said it, I feel like I can. Overall, Lou plays significantly better than he did during the match.

There are portions of Lou's game (like many other amateur players) that are more vulnerable to changes in equipment, conditions, and circumstances.

Pros are used to changing tables, locations, stakes, etc. Lou is not, and his game suffers for it. Mine does to. Many of us would suffer in the same way if we significantly changed the conditions we are used to, even if those conditions were negotiated.

There were a number of shots that Lou hit poorly in the match that he would have executed successfully in conditions that he is more used to. That is the truth. This might well be the same for John. I have only seen him play twice. And both times I think he was under conditions that were fairly foreign to him.

First of all, congrats to Lou on winning the match. Great shooting and way to remain composed and classy thru out the entire time.

To John, like many others have said, if you correct some of those fundamental issues and stay down on your shot, I think you would have played much better. You did come with some very nice banks, especially the one that won the game where your last ball was about half a diamond away from Lou's pocket. And lastly, huge props for still coming on here and posting. Takes a real man to admit defeat, shake hands like you did and move on.

Thanks, Charlie.

Definitely had a few hiccups.

IIRC our lovable scamp also questioned how someone on here could be fit enough to play pool whilst claiming payments for incapacity (or something similar). I'm sure the bastion of the nation's morals will refresh my memory on the precise details.
