the best Southwest styled cues...

Ed Young makes a great SW style.
I'll second that...Both Jerry Franklin and Ed Young learned how to make cues from David Kersenbrock...

Also, no cue is going to make you an instant world beater...you're also never going to win the Indy 500 driving a '69 rusted out Volkswagen. So the quality of the equipment is important.

I'm not sure why you're looking for a SW style cue. Is it because of the cost, the 9 year wait, or the fact that they're not making any more wrapless cues? If it's because of the wrapless...Roy Malott of IndyQ had a wrapless for sale, but you'll pay out the *ss for it.

What about Thomas Waynne? My friend has one of his cues in a Southwest Style and it plays great.

I think Dan's standard pin is a UniLoc Radial, not the quick release. I have seen older cues with the UniLoc Quick Release joint, but its not very common on his newer ones, unless custom ordered. The first batch cues, under name DanBuilt, I think were southwest style pins, and not cored, so the hit was very similar to Southwest.

I think you're probably right, I haven't seen Dan nor his current crop of cues lately. Since 2001, I think.
