I have 1985 Joss cue that apparently felt the need to snap into half just below the joint.
I thought it was ruined....
Some guys at the bar told me to put it back together using Elmers wood glue..
I did and it hits great...So anyone that snaps one don't worry...it can be fixed!!

Have you tried it out yet? I was going to mention that it probably won't feel the same and if it does, it may not last long with the glue.

The good news is, fore arms can be replaced by a good repair man and chances are, you will never know it wasn't the same cue.

Ryan from Muellers is great at these type of repairs and is very reasonable. Specially for an 85. It most likely is worth putting a few dollars into it to put it back to original.

Edit. I see that you said that it hits ok. Sorry. Anyway, you could contact Ryan and talk to him about it.

Years ago I had a cue I liked and somehow the butt snapped in half. I did the same thing, but I also drilled a 45 degree 5/16th hole through the cracks after I put it back together and glued up a dowel with elmer's carpenters glue to give it some extra strength. I slid it in there, flushed up the ends, and it never did break again.

Because you used your break cue after that?

I gotta ask, how does the butt "somehow" break? Every time I ever smashed my cue it breaks at the
skinny areas (as you'd expect). I dunno if I could break the butt even if I smashed it over my knee lolz.
