ImageUploadedByTapatalk1456570551.651636.jpg

Bob Frey's 1st Custom after leaving Scruggs shop & going out on his own, signed BobFrey Cue #1.

This cue is not fancy but it's playability is magical.

I'm going to be holding on to this cue as long as possible. This was my gift to myself after my first deployment in the Army. It's a Barry Cameron custom. Curly Hawaiian Koa, ebony points, ivory diamonds and joint. Ebony sleeve with Koa inlaid with ivory diamonds. Hits awesome.

Gregnice37, love that top cue - the reverse color points of uneven length make for a very dangerous-looking pointy objects feel!

My Runde (click on it in my sig for pics). It's the first and only cue I've ever custom ordered and it came out exactly how I wanted.

It a house cue that came with the Brunswick Sport King table that my Dad & I bought together right after he introduced me to the game when I was 13.

I later had it cut into a Sneaky & played with it for many a year.

It was "my" cue but it reminds me of my Dad & the best advice I ever received regarding the Game.

My Dad told me, "There's always a shot... you just have to find it.".

Pics:

My First ever player (Viking) for sentimental reasons and my Ernie Martinez (current player)

Pics to follow..

4 Nice One's

1. My first Really Collectible Meucci Original. Its a Earl Strickland "Leap Frog". Really Ugly Cue IMO but its a Keeper.

2. 2nd Catalog Palmer Model G that was completely Abused when I got it, Now its a Perfect Example.

3. I just bought this cue from a kid who said it was his Gram-pa's cue. Its a Karl Meyer Cue. With Nice inlays in the Points and alot of MOP.

4. I have a Tim Scruggs Titlist that goes along way with me.. It is in #2 also!

I also have a Great Willie Hoppe from the 50's in Wonderful Shape, a Champion Viking, and a Meucci Original Hearts Gambler.

Never fell in love with one. I've had: Scruggs,Black, Joss(both), Heubler,Meucci, Diveney,Viking,Farris,Schuler,Petree,Gilbert,Schon,Bludworth(Leonard), Lucasi,JerryPowers ,Mordt,Josey,Hills and a few more i'm sure. Currently using a Greg'sKue. Never heard of this guy and bought it as a "unknown custom" here on AZ. Great cue, especially for $325!! Feel like i stole something. Might keep this one a while.

I will likely be seeing Greg in about a half hour and will pass this on. He'll enjoy hearing your thoughts on one of his cues.

He def does some fine work and while he does fly under the radar elsewhere in the country, around these parts, he's well known and respected for his work.

Plus he's a very nice guy, too.

I drooled over this cue on Chris Tate's website for two years and then on Proficient Billiards auction site. It was listed with a reserve for about one and a half years and never reached the reserve. Then I saw it listed with no reserve and I got lucky and won it. I will have to be on my death bed to sell it.

I've asked him about a shaft for it and i let him know he makes a killer cue. A LOT like a Scruggs i had in the mid-late 80's.

I'm really glad this cue ended up in someone's hands who cares for it, Robert, because it is a primo example.

I don't remember parting with it, but many of the cues my close friend Kevin Brewer (RIP) sold over the years on ebay came from my collection.

The cues I personally designed will never be sold during my lifetime.................

1985 Runde Schon
2014 Bob Owen
2015 Jerry Rauenzahn

And upon arrival in a few months.....my 2016 Owen & Rauenzahn cues.

These are cues that were made to my exact design the way I sketched the cues.
Nothing beats having a cue made exactly as you specify instead of settling for someone
else's tastes, i.e. pre-owned pool cues.

I think that was the Lambros I sold you, and I feel the same way :-) I should have kept it too.

I used to have one.. not anymore.. right price.. outta here...

Maybe its cause I rarely play, new job, different interests...

Being honest.....

The cue I would never sell. After a little thought I have to ask.

How much money are we talking? After looking at it that way, all of them might be for sale!
