The cue you WONT let go...

Great question Tim, especially for avid collectors.

Although I would have a hard time letting any of my cues go, the one would probably be a Cochran-era Tim Scruggs, done in the tradition of the older Joss cues. Barbell design in both points and buttsleeve, with the older window style sleeve, ivory joint. Combination of Holly and Maple veneers. Enjoy.

All the best,
H

The cue I would never sell. After a little thought I have to ask.

How much money are we talking? After looking at it that way, all of them might be for sale!

not sure, pal, not sure...
as for example, even you put 100k on the table, you won't buy the cue that my mother presented to me for my 20th birthday.

So far I've let go of all of them,
Currently have 2 carom cues
1, the newest just received I'd say I won't let go of

Ron Kilby
Spectacular curly purple heart and super nice quilted maple

That is a very very very nice cue my friend, all the best.

1977 Bob Meucci Ivory Crown Jewel
  1. Jim Rempe was my favorite to watch growing up
  2. As luck would have it, Rempe was the first "Pro" player I faced in actual competition at a Joss event
  3. I was born in 1977

The year it was made was the clincher when I had the chance to grab this cue. I have a few other Crown Jewels as it is my favorite design but this one is special to me.

My 3 lambros titlist conversions, I was close to selling a couple times with the buyers trying to get better deals.
I backed off and I am glad I did as you do not see any for sale. I think there are very few out there and it makes
me think I should keep them for another 10 years or so.

I've bought and sold close to 100 cues but always kept an old Huebler sneaky pete and an equally old Meucci original (cocobolo and ebony points). When gambling I always reverted to that beat up old Huebler.

Doc Frye approx 1965.

I've already put a cue up here, but seeing that nice Doc Frye cue made me think about my Jerry -R- Frank Paradise-like design. The design is mine. The quality is Jerry. Enjoy.

it's actually a SHAFT i wont let go. in '08 i hand-picked two 1x30 maple dowels. both had 30+ growth rings and are really white. about 4 years ago i had Bebot Bautista make me a shaft. i have 5 cues, 2 of them have a pair of shafts; but this one is what i play with almost all the time. it stays dead straight and has just the perfect feel for me. i can put it on a different butt, but it plays the same.
as for the other 1x30, i'm saving it for a new project. i hope it plays as good as the other one.

My Paul Mottey cue that's been my playing cue for over 10 years now.

Nice post. Love that 65' Doc Fry and OG looking -R- WW shows. I had no choice a few years ago. Under my bed for the O'Neil dealer case with my keepers or to my golf closet full of treasures.

I reluctantly went under the bed. That was a day I wish I could get back. But still have the clubs that will go with me like Chop's Joss.

Here are a few that I plan on keeping out of the 15 of so I have left.

Best rolls,

-Kat,

The first custom I had made exactly the way I wanted it. A Lew Stone that's solid ebony with some ringwork.

I've had a few cues come and go the last couple of years.
It may seem odd to some of you but I will never part with my Lucasi Cocobolo cue.
It's not worth much money but I just love the cue.

I know I've posted this cue before a couple times and it's all I ever refer to, so sorry for the repeat... If I were to sell it, I just don't see myself finding anything that is as unique as this cue, or that plays the way this one does. The balance is natural, the taper is comfortable, the sound and feel is just right for me. I love everything about it.
