"The Decider" Free weekend Pass contest.

I'll throw in my entry. The thing I love about watching the pros play is that they take such a diffcult game that not only requires precise execution, but also complicated strategy and years of knowledge and make it appear simple. Also, I'm amazed with how well these top players deal with pressure. There are so many ways to choke away a game or match it is incredible, but when you look at Shane you can rarely tell he even feels it at all. Poetry in motion.
 
I sure hope the PPV isn't gonna be run like these last few days in Vegas!
This is a disgrace! I sure hope I don't have to ask for a refund!
And you wonder why people ask what is wrong with pool!

Pocket billiards is simply one of the greatest games that there is.

So many of us simply play it for the love of the game.

Like so many of us, many of the Pros are amateurs at heart. They too are basically simply playing the game for the love of the game, while also trying to make a living.

Amateur is derived from the word amare, to love.

It basically takes a good person to love.

I think most of the Pro are good people.

I'm an Amateur & I love pocket billiards.

Well I don't think you'll have to worry about it because I seriously doubt this post qualifies for an entry. Way to miss the entire point of the thread though. Congrats.

LOL, Well a couple of things to remember on the BCA stream. It was a last minute agreement that was brought to the table an POV actually made it happen against the odds mind you, it was just a simple idea to bring the league players some recognition and for their friends, family and fans to see a little pool for free. Also Daniel was set to play in this event and so could no be there all the time. Just saying. Also having to use ustream and Justin tv probably didn't help but from what I saw the picture was fine and so wasthe audio for the most part. "The Decider will be using a whole different stream provider that I have been assured will be awesome. Hope you can make it to the stream and enjoy the fun and excitement.
 
I Can't Wait

Two really great players playing long sets and I have sat and talked to both of them over the years and like both of them very much. I have stood near Earl and toasted him live at three of his five US Open wins but only Shane's first Open win. It will be tough to pull for one or the other so I hope my fellow carolina friend can keep his inner demon's quite and just play great pool. He will need to in order to beat the South Dakota Kid for the cash, and every railbird watches the Pearl cause you get a show either way,--Leonard
 
I like the match up, especially since Shane had an everlasting challenge to play anyone on a bar table. To my knowledge this is first time it has been taken up. Thanks POV pool for streaming this match. Go Shane!

just 6 days to go. All flights are booked and everyone is excited. Still waiting to hear on a possible surprise.
 
The last time I watched POV the stream was so bad that I couldn't bear to watch it. I thought wow Daniel is really trying to do good for pool but just doesn't have the resources. Must be frustrating!

So I donated 50 bucks to POV and spent the rest of the afternoon with my wife and daughter instead :)

We all love pool because it is the most challenging game there is, your toughest competition is always you, not on the table, but in your mind. Pool is the toughest game we will ever love, some times it chews us up, and spits us out, and then the next day we are back saying, give me more. Some day the world will wake up and pool will get the recognition it deserves, man I hope I am around to see that.
 
I'll be waiting for this one whether its free or not. You always put together a nice production Mark and have always enjoyed your road stories.

And, on a positive note, pool gives me an excuse to drink lots of cold beer.

POOL IS A BEAUTIFUL GAME PLAYED BY UGLY PEOPLE :D

In all honest though, this game is the best. Competitiveness, longevity, creativity, physics, strategy... What more could you want in a game?
 
Earl and Shane's match up

The two greatest 9 ball players of all time.Any pool player has to enjoy this match.I love Buddy's game also.
 
The pros make this game look so easy that on a bar table this will be a real treat to watch some of the run outs and pattern play they will use.
