The document of our pool related road trip across the U.S. updated daily

what is it about you no one appreciates your efforts to help them out ? jk .

lol lorider. :)

I'm a lepper.

(actually, there's more than a few REALLY good friends here I've met that have reached out to me and vice versa. I'll take my guarded chances, it's worth it.)

This is Deja Vue from my CJ "Just Ask Him" thread. I gave you two red carpet on a silver platter to a LOT of the inside line to foreign pool territory. Forewarned you on Asia air barrel, as did others. PinkLady told you the US Open Qualifier was a week earlier than your arrival.

I had phone calls with Gene, left voice messages, pm's, posts, gave experienced hotel non-bed bug economical advice - even delivered an ambassador of the Raleigh pool scene - first via phone, then face to face.

I opened an opportunity 2 days from now with blessing of the owner of the best hall in Greensboro (Gate City). I spoke with Johnny A, threw out my idea - got his blessing on a unique promotional opportunity with Gene. How many Perfect Aim Lessons might he garner from this?

Blame it on a sore shoulder, diabetes, bed bugs, 5th place or sunspots, just so long as you have time to do your laundry and post on AZ how you two did.

What am I missing???

My best,

Ben Stiller, star of DodgeBall

Don't take it personal Ben.
It's tough being on the road. You did good.:D

Tomorrow there is a lesson booked at 4pm at Browns Billiards, at 10pm Gene is going to play the bartender $200 sets.

I played in the local tournament as an 8 and lost my match to a 7 hill hill.
I played Jackson Jeffries today he spotted me 1 going to 7 for $25 per set, I lost 3 sets and quit.

Gene will call koolkat9lives tomorrow, he spent most of the day at Browns while I was at Brass Tap.

Today Gene and I spent the day at Hotshots in Cary NC, He gave Joshua a lesson while I played sets with some of the locals.

I was hitting balls with a guy who asked me what he thought I could spot him to make a fair game, I played him a race to 10 for $10 and spotted him 4 games on the wire. I won 10-5. Then I spotted him 5 on the wire to 10 for another $10 and won 10-7. Then I played another guy and spotted him 4 on the wire to 10 for $10 and won 10-8. Then played him again and won 10-5. Finally I played 1 more guy for $5 race to 5 spotting him 2 on the wire and won 5-4.

All together I won $45 today and Gene earned $200 today, We are going to bed early because we are going to Greensboro to have Lunch with Johnny Archer.

Home again, home again.

Just left IHOP with JA, Big Wayne, and Pinky. It was a blast!

I don't know how great it was of a stream to watch, but at Gate City Billiards - it was busy as all get out - people were smiling wide eyed - and most were like WTF is this Bonus Ball? Curiosity was given exposure. Gate City's owner seemed quite pleased and did a super job of MC'ing. Thanks Don!

Johnny kinda plays well... What a great sportsman he is. I think he missed 2 balls all day and night.

Geno and Rhea were fabulous! (She shoots better than him ) She was playing $50 sets with Ace as we left, she was up one set @ midnite, was playing a second. Ace is a good play. Rhea can play. No lie.

Gene gave me a mini Perfect Aim lesson. It was interesting. I took a few things from it. Main thing I took... After he established I was right eye dominant, he showed me my cut shots to the left would be better served with a miniscule shift of my eyes to the right, bringing in a different aspect of view. Thanks Gene!

Majic and Pinky were on stream detail. At one point they swapped shirts (Majic, a man, looked silly as hell wearing a rhinestone laddened tank top - pic forthcoming).

Shoutouts via greaseboard to web cam went out to BB's pimp Luxury, SPimp, JAM, AZB and I don't know who else. I was too busy being my dork self. Johnny pimped the shoutout board also.

My 1st promo is in the books, lmao. I won (had a good partner). Larry's check to me is in the mail. (checks for BB are clearing, BTW)

My sincere thanks to AZ brethren.

(still burping Country BBQ over IHOP breath, thanks Johnny)

BB is LIVE!

For the record I broke even by the end of the night with Ace. Gene got to work with a few more locals giving mini lessons. Unfortunately Gene broke his tooth at country bbq today while we were having supper with kk9, pinklady, fat albert, & Johnny Archer.

Johnny Archer and his partner KK9 also got the unique oportunity to compete against Gene and I at bonus ball which was live streamed.

Like the TURTLE MAN would say,, Man we got live action here.

This is very interesting Rhea, I hope you and Gene the best of luck!

Tell Gene if he can to get back up here in Baltimore (top hat) there is plenty of action for the both of yous.

Gene been here before not to long ago, there is a man that works there, That would be a good match up for Gene.

Iam sure Gene knows who Tom Vanover is, he is 74 years old and still gambles, lots of action there!

Does Tom play 9-Ball? if so Gene would definitely play him next time we are in MD, he knows that Tom plays very well.

Was great to meet you and Gene ysterday. Thank Gene for finally finding his phone, lol, cause it turned out to be very memorable night, that would NOT have been as kool without you two. I really wanted you two pool freaks to be a part of it. We had you down 15 - 1, and ya'll mounted a nice comeback in our BB skit.

And then Gene took me to the side and told me I was half blind and middle nose dominant. But yet, within 10 minutes and a slap upside the head - I could see the light! ;)

(BTW, you two are just as nutty @ pool as they come. The enthusiasm is contagious. Thanks again!)

Til next time, keep 'em rolling downhill. Gonna need some good rolls to get toothless off of the Ensure diet. ;)

Yes Tom plays 9 Ball Rhea, no where near his speed of yesteryear, but iam sure Tom will play Gene some 50 or 100 dollars sets.

Gene is the favorite i believe.

So yesterday we didn't go anywhere until 8pm, we decided to stop into Brass Tap to hit some balls, we didnt stay for long, then Gene decided to go to Sharky's the place was so packed we left and headed over to Browns. Browns was really packed too but eventually Gene got the table so he could warm up a rack before playing Robert the bartender at Browns. They played $100 sets. Gene was ahead most of the night but eventually Robert's consistant play caught up and they broke even by 7am. Gene was exhausted and we headed back to the motel.

While they were playing their set I was playing some locals races to 5 for 5$, lost $5 to the first guy I played, broke even with the 2nd 2.

I'll be there!

Cool well, I'm here already :) we found a very nice place to stay in walking distance of the Marriotte. Best room yet in the 5 weeks we have been on the road. Real nice price! Looks like alot of very cool merchandise on display over there and a buffet of finger food for after the players meeting.

They will be using 14 diamond tables this year. The atmosphere here is going to be great!

That's great that someone can still play good at 74. Look at Billy I, he still plays at a high level and I think he is 70. I would guess the best 1 pocket and 9 ball player at close to 70 would be Jerry Brock.

Tom Vanover is 74???.

Wow, Tom Vanover is 74???....I played him in Florida about 27 years ago, he sure didn't look like he was 47. He played pretty good from what I remember.

Wayne, Myself and a couple others will drive up next Thursday. I've found the biggest trick to the Open, is finding how to find your way from the Open to Q Masters and back (I'm serious).

Anyway, I want the 8 from you and the 6 out from Gene. For a million. Deal? ;) Can't wait. I hope Gene draws Bartrum with Earl on an adjoining table vs El Diablo.

BTW, at the Open, Barry B in a press release said there's 9 tables in one room, and 3 in another.
