Deshane has a lot of grind in him...I think I have become a total believer...Mike is for real..SVB is also playing lights out, he just owned Orcullo and that guy is a total world beater, to be sure. Great matches!!
Accu-Stats absolutely rules when it comes to bringing us great pool. I think I like the US Open without the dead money players, because there is never a bad match!!! Thank you Pat Flemming for the awesome pool this week!!!

Shane: the favorite for sure, in amazing form
Nick: I didn't expect him to be here, but he's playing great.
Dennis: As expected, this giant of the game is still in the mix
Warren: not really surprising to see this consistently excellent player still chugging along
Dechaine: third straight top 10 finish in the US Open for America's second best rotation player, no surprise here
Bustamante: Has a gear that almost nobody can match, but not sure what to expect from the Hall of Famer.

Does the person who plays the undefeated player in finals have to win twice to win it all or one race? How long are finals races?thx
One race to 13
No, finals is one race to 13, must win by 2. Game is capped at 15, so 14-14 would be hill-hill.
Not true DE so loser only need defeat undefeated once in final
Final is race to 13 , win by 2 racks with maximum race to 15 so 14-14 is hill hill
Semifinalists race to 11 but have to win by 2 racks , maximum race to 13 and 12-12 is hill hill

I am betting Dechaine all the way to finals.
He's been hibernating up north and now the sleeping bear is awake.
We are witnessing great pool. Bill Gibbs is a bit of a disaster in commentary world. He constantly calls position wrong and has trouble making any sense but I'm totally digging the caliber of play!! I hate saying anything negative at all though he is dedicating his time to doing commentary, he's just lacking knowledge, no biggie

Yup, already read it.
The best breakers are the ones that read the rack best and wherever you put the one, they'll figure it all out. Two of the three best breakers in this field will be among the last four.
The solution is so simple it is absolutely scary. Get rid of "rack your own."
Did not watch match but read about his awesome safeties

From past few high matches W9B , WCOP I have seen him play , his safeties were generally poor and loose
I know folks will LEL when I say this
From what I see of Dechaine recently he is a more complete player than Shane
Has a much better safety game than Shane
He loses to Shane in breaking department and the attitude department

A pool player who is out of the tournament whining about a guy who is still in? Somebody call Ripley's.
Concerning the match ongoing of Dechaine vs Busty its a good match if you can fade Geoff Conway. It's tied 9-9 but Dechaine looks like he's moving on a lot if shots. May cost him. I don't know.
