The Full Earl Strickland Story

Earl's story is a classic.

He's actually in very good form right now, showing solid play in November at both the Accu-stats 8-ball event and the Ocean States Championship.

Might be one to watch at the Derby next month.

I'd like to see Earl win something major . He's got the firepower
 
Pete Horn?

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that the guy that everyone told Earl that he couldn't beat was Pete Horn. When I first saw Pete Horn in around '89 or '90, he played really strong. And one of the older guys said that he used to beat Earl over and over. I thought that Earl finally beat him. But, since Earl never mentioned it on the interview, maybe he didn't. That is something that I would think Earl would have mentioned very quickly.

Might have held out some stories for his DVD set? Hope I get that for Christmas. Being a NC boy it really brings back memories. Even after Earl left every move Earl made was on "the wire" within a day. Pretty amazing with no Internet and long distance calls.

I sure do miss Detective days.
 
My first time to watch this. Thanks for posting it. Earl is one of the few people you can both admire and feel sorry for.

One thing about Earl..... He is genuine. It's got to be an honor to be regarded as a genius amongst the entire pool world. I'm ready to see Earl and Rodney partner up again and strike some fear into team Europe. I'd like to see them with a year to prepare for the format. Earl thrives on the intensity
