The future in CNC

I've been talking to a CNC master about building me a cue builders CNC machine. He has designed and is building a dream machine. He wants to build more for anybody that wants one. A turn key machine with programing $8000. The machine will be good to .0005 in every direction. That is amazing. It will cut inlays, turn shafts, and cut butt tapers with the 0-24000 rpm spindle.

He is installing a PC camera so he can see everything your doing while he teaches you how to use the machine and to help with any tech support in the future.
He sent me this video today. http://tinyurl.com/4xe7t2
It's a teaser, it shows linear guides he is using.
I'm getting excited about my new CNC machine coming. I think this is how my customers feel when when I send them in progress cue pictures.
Jeff is his name, jalessi@aol.com is his E-mail, Great guy. Hands down it's going to be the best machine on the market.

Just got off the phone with Jeff and he is designing the tailstock. The tailstock will be mounted on linear rails and be adjustable from 12"-30" making it possible to build ring stock. 10 minutes to build the program and 5 minutes to cut. Any size, width, and depth you want. Save the toolpath and use anytime you need it.
I used to use slot cutters to make ring stock, the CNC makes the job simple and perfect.
I currently have a CNC and am upgrading. I want a machine that does everything. That's not true because I will never cut points with CNC.
CNC also makes full splice easy.

Stop already.   :)

I only do repairs not building, but if I were to have a machine custom built to my specs I would definitely have more than 30" between centers. This would allow me to handle the odd cue that is longer than normal.

Maybe you are already set on how you build cues and don't want to handle longer ones. But it just seems like a no brainer to me considering you are having the machine completely custom built.

30" for tapering machine should be enough.
If someone wants a 31" shaft, it's still be easy to manually take down 1 inch.

Am really waiting for this machine.
Auto-tool changer? dayum!

He returned my e-mail.
He's hard at work and will have a video in a few weeks.
