The Great Pool Experiment Pool Reality Show.

Good Morning John,

A lot happened while I was in 'time out'.

This is really great. I read some of the posts & scanned some others. I really like the fact that Tor is working with some young players too.

I just sent him a message on Facebook & volunteered if he wants to get with an older experienced player in the New Orleans area. Maybe he can get me to my next level.

Congratulations & thanks for your involvement with this project & for passing it along here.

All the Best,
Rick

He doesn't know yet, but we suspect it won't be long before he notices that he has been selected as a participant.

"I want to be as good a pool player as I can be, both physically and mentally. I want to challenge my comfort zone in competition by applying the tools I learn. I want to be able to minimize the delta between my best playing and my worst playing.

I have always loved the game but was never around very good players until the last 20 years or so. I am trying hard to identify my fundamental weaknesses and build better muscle memory. I think I have doubled my ability in the last 3 years.

I am almost 58 so it is very gratifying that I am getting better. It does not say much about how well I played previously but I want to put that far behind me. I love pool and I love improving. I need some objective observation and pool tools to draw on to make my game what I envision it could be."

End post.

Have Fun :)

I watched some of these videos on youtube for the first time today. Very cool! I wish I could be part of this, but I definitely don't have the time or the location to be able to do 8 hours of drills every day for 2 weeks. I like watching the progress of those that do though.

Thanks for the kind words.

If you don't have time for the 14 days. Zero X is also doing 3 and 4 day training sessions for those that are "time" challenged.

The Zero X production crew will arrange for a place to train and video the sessions.

Have fun........give it a shot.

We're excited to be working with our Minnesota based '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' participants beginning August 25th! We'll start in Pipestone where we will work with Shane and Tim and head east to Mankato, Minnesota to work with Tate after that!

We'll be joined again by Gene Albrecht of 'Perfect Aim' on Day Two of training in Pipestone for Tim and Shane! Gene will provide them with his outstanding training relating to their dominant eye and more!

We know they're all ready to give it all they have to reach their pool objectives and we feel certain we've selected awesome participants in each of them! Keep your eyes open for their episode of '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' and help us cheer them on!

Josh. From Oil City, Penn. Ya gotta see this

On set and behind the scenes with '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' Pennsylvania based participants, Joshua and Anthony. Why is this awesome? Several reasons, but mostly because Joshua's game is completely unrecognizable by the end of his 14 Days. Through his unquestionable determination, dedication and commitment, I have no doubt that Joshua will continue progressing as far as his pool dreams can take him.

This episode is a full 80 minutes in duration. In it, you'll learn what it takes to take your own game to the next level. You'll get a glimpse of Gene Albrecht of Perfect Aim and the great methods he teaches relating to dominant eye in pool and you'll understand more about the concept of '14 Days;' why its important and valuable to the pool community in general.

A great YouTube presentation almost 80 Minutes long. Gene Albrecht is also featured.

Thanks for watching. :)

Shane Rath and Tim Rustad began their stroke drills this morning! We're excited to be in Pipestone, Minnesota to supercharge the pool games of these two very determined pool players! We're convinced, given their determination and willingness to work hard, these two will have outstanding results from their '14 Days!'

Watch for additional updates on their progress and announcements pertaining to upcoming towns/cities on the '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' tour!

Up Date:

They called it "earning their stripes," and that's exactly what they did on the morning of Day Two of their #14Days training, after completing over 2,000 stroke drills each!

Tor Lowry began custom ball pocketing drills and center-ball positioning today with '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' participants, Shane Rath and Tim Rustad of Pipestone, Minnesota!

Can't wait for "the big reveal" on these two - it's going to be amazing!

Begin post #2

Tor Lowry's convinced that Vanda Smrkovski, though she's never really played pool before, will naturally want to either play regularly herself, or inspire other non-players to give pool a try, after Tor includes her in his Pipestone, Minnesota episode of '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' later this week.

Vanda, one of the owners of the historic Calumet Inn in Pipestone, Minnesota, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, will also be appearing later this Fall on an episode of Gordon Ramsay's series, 'Hotel Hell.'

She's a very determined young lady and manages the historic Calumet Inn with a combination of great wit and a charming personality. After meeting her and receiving a tour of the hotel, we're pretty convinced, Vanda's going to excel, even as a beginner, at the great sport of pool.

Watch for announcements concerning details of FREE pool clinics which will be offered by Tor Lowry; one at the historic Calumet Inn and one at the popular Woebee's Sports Bar and Grill in Holland, Minnesota!

Stay tuned

John :)

Update: 14 Days in Pipestone, now onto Mankato

Posted here with permission from Zero X

We're sad tomorrow to be leaving Pipestone, Minnesota and the awesome, lifelong friends we've made. Over the next couple days, we'll still be sharing some highlights of our time in such a wonderful town and its great people.

We're looking forward to sharing some awesome achievements made by two determined, outstanding men in Shane Rath and Tim Rustad during their final two days of training. We're looking forward to sharing some images and words about their loving partners in life and how great it was to also teach them some things which will ultimately help them be their best in pool. Both remarkable, lovely ladies were so much fun.

Next up is Tate Palmer in Mankato, Minnesota, before we head to Indiana to work with many more outstanding people who are very determined and passionate about the great game of pool!

End post

Stay tuned for the highlights. They are always great to watch. :)
