"The Hustler" Contact Sheet

Just grabbed a couple of original contact sheets from the movie "The Hustler".

One is Paul Newman and Piper Laurie and the second is Piper Laurie on a train with some other people (cast/crew?)

Thinking about seeing if they can be blown up into a poster before I frame them.

these are AWESOME!! I love stuff like this. Put me down for a poster There are several I would like. You could make really nice "series" 8x10's of several slides hung togather. You may want to check on copyright issues I'm sure the studio owns the "rights" to any images from "The Hustler"

Man o' Man.....:eek: Does that take me back to another time:) Back when I was young and ....:D :D These are great!! put em in a poster if you can without getting smacked over rights....:cool:

I wonder about that. I mean, there are people are over ebay selling reproduction photos and posters from that movie.

This is an original contact sheet, not a reproduction. It is 8x10, a print made from the negatives.

It still amazes me that places like new deco can make hundreds of thousands dollars selling thousands of reproduction photos of movie images yet people are getting arrested for copyright infringement for downloading a few songs.

WHat a great find!!

These look like publicity photos they took for possible use in press releases, lobby cards or even one-sheet reference.

Jeff, if you're able to reproduce these, or make them into posters, I'll buy several. When I was 17, I fell in love with Piper Laurie as her role in The Hustler!! Let us know. Thanks~

I got the contact sheets and scanned one of them to see who the people were in a couple of the frames. I was surprised.

It's Paul Newman and George C. Scott playing cards with some other people.

Where do I click on "The Hustler" Contact Sheet to
contact the hustler? This page is not working for me.

EDIT: By the way, I tried a few days ago, and it did not
work at that time either.

"It was the same sheet, but a different day", in fact. :)
