the missed deadline for kt's earth shattering announcement is the perfect set up for whats next.

"We expected good news on tuesday. We expected to announce the unification of 2 very strong companies to form an entity that would have guranteed the ipt tours future survival. Unfortunately, the negotiations have stalled, and at this time an aquisition is unlikely. REST asured that we are still working to try and resolve our differences. As a consequence of these latest events, it saddens me to inform all involved, players, sponsors and all of our millions of fans and ipt memebrship subscribers, that until a resolution is met, we are forced to suspend all ipt business activity. Please be patient with us during this very stressful time as we work around the clock to create a remedy."

Unfortunately, I suspect that kt will now start to let us down "easy". I wouldn't be surprised if he even turns the tables on us asking us to be understanding of his misfortunes.

I promise this, i will hold deno just as responsible. I will make it my lifes work to have him blackballed from this business. This is all he knows. He has no place else to turn. I dont want to hear his f@cking sob stories like he wasnt in the loop, or that he was duped also.

Wow, RG -- you've got the slickster style nailed. I like the euphemism "business activity" for "paying you". :) I think you are right on.

And I agree that it's spot-on. I have a feeling that the actual "announcement" may be eerily similar to this.
 
This would be especially troubling considering KY has said that the first two years are already funded. Since they were already funded, how can he say there's a prob paying Reno? "Legally unacceptable" my ass.

Where's the Tuesday news release? Who knows.

Well, I'll hand it to ya, everyone knows "pretty well" how you feel now.

Having just spent the last two weekends with about 6 players owed money, I feel even worse than before. They are baffled, guessing,embarrassed, and hurt. Any time someone asks them about the whole scandal, most just look at the ground.

Many have already started the bashing the players who got STIFFED and tell them they had it coming. It is very sad.

Like one said, he had to go to a Qualifier and Post $2000. He then had to play his ass off in order to Qualify and then come up with the money to get to Reno. As he further stated, he didn't even get his post money back.

He was then encouraged to stay in Reno the rest of the week and told lies about getting the money on Sunday which was going to help him get about even. No, he got some story about Fed Ex or some BS and got STIFFED.

Now, they have the gall to talk to the public about Qualifiers and Chicago. As they used to say in the Pool Hall, "ant further invovement with the IPT is a "BAD BET"!

I understand your feelings.

Good for you, everyone with such influence should help ensure his
complete removal from the industry.

Cool it Randy. I think being blackballed is the least of Deno's worries about now. I doubt that he even wants to be anywhere near a pool player, or tournament, about now. I wonder if Kevin will supply a body guard for him.

But then, the pool playing community is very forgiving, so this will probably all blow over in a few months.

MS hasn't been in the poolroom once since Reno either.............as a matter of fact neither have the other 3 IPT Players that play there reg.

Probably those 3 don't want to run into Sigel so they are staying away and Sigel doesn't want to into them so he is staying away.

Most likely the negotiations will stall over the 150M price that KT wants. :rolleyes: :eek:

Since the IPT is probably worth only 10M tops, the negotiators will have a lot of work to do to close the "valuation" gap.

Blackballing Deno? The IPT is damaged goods and Deno has already damaged his own credibility. The Inside Pool magazine article hurts him the most; therefore, no need to go further into this matter.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that Deno was out of the 'billiard industry' and was selling medical supplies before he decided to work for KT. More than likely he will pusue employment outside the billiard industry once again if this doesn't work out. Deno is articulate ,well mannered and dresses nicely. He won't have any trouble finding a well paying decent job... imo
I doubt that his 3 cushion friends will hold him responsible for the IPT's failures or demise. I predict that he will come out of all this unscathed. I'm not defending Deno, just offering up my opinion on the matter at hand.
