When did we have to start selling only the most expensive cues possible. Are we the little guys relegated to like this crap little place where only now and again we are allowed to show our faces. While my cue may not be the best out there or the most expensive am i not within my rights to try and sell here. In the first couple of pages of the wanted for sale i saw many cues listed around the two to three hundred dollar mark. So while you say its not a slam it really is no matter how you say it.

So thanks for your input heres some of mine. While im sure you had my best interests at heart offering the ebay advice here is some advice of my own, if you have nothing nice to say say nothing at all, or keep your mouth shut when things dont concern you. Just a thought not a slam just some advice.

I know ill prob get horrible rep for this but im so sick of the elitists out there who get a big head for just the most expensive cues.

OOOOOK...don't let one comment from ONE person get you down. I see quite a few cues in the $350.00 to $600.00 dollar range selling on here.

I could care less if you were selling $50 cues on here, as long as you are an honest seller keep posting and selling! People should stop knocking on the guy selling the "cheap" cues and start going after the people selling the expensive cues and not shipping them out. Just keep selling your cues and dont worry too much about what other people think.

In all fairness this thread is out of context. Those comments were indeed made BUT in the context of other posters complaining that the OP had made 5 different for sale threads in 18 days trying to sell the same cue. (5 threads plus however many times each thread was bumped).

Anyhow I'm not agreeing at all with the post about cue value and selling here. I've sold a bunch of things on here and nothing I've sold has been expensive. Just keeping things honest...

if its about the number of threads posted...we can cut down the number by about 50% if you stop all the members from posting cues for $600.00 to $800.00 that worth about $200.00 to $300.00..how about that idea????

He Didn't Bash Your Cue, He Even Semi-apologized Before He Shared Some Advice.

I'm Sure He Was As Bothered As The Rest Of Us By The 5 Threads You Started For The Same Cue, That Apparently No One Here Wanted To Buy.

P.s. He's Probably Right, Try Ebay

I see nothing wrong with the pm to you. Its good advice actually, and the way I read it he was trying to help you out. Don't know why someone offering you some friendly, and pretty much 100% true advice, would upset you.

I sometimes have joss cues for sale, they can sit here for months and be gone in one day on ebay for more than I wanted here. Has happened at least 5 times in the last two years.

Sell them where you want, just don't be surprised if they bring less money here than they should.

I agree with the last few posts
I thought he was just trying to help you out
Why give him all that crap

Ouch

A few years ago you would see that comment alot. Try ebay. Many posters here have gotten used to the new acceptance of low end cues.
I wish you good luck with your cue. But chances are you have been some fair advice that was ment to help you succeed.
Nick :)

Good advice?

Well, I understand the advice, and the need to limit posts to one per cue sale. But I still believe that lower cost cues can be marketed here on AZB. Hey, even us poor people like to buy and sell cues. Right now I am shooting with a $15 challenger cue (promoted by Lori Jon Jones), and while it ain't expensive - it gets the job done. Just ask all the people who have been playing me recently. So there is a market for less expensive cues - it is just that the whole market of pool cues seems to be very calm right now - slow as molasses, with no end in sight. But many THREADS selling the same cue or cues is not a winner around here. As you can see. :welcome: :deadhorse:
So here is my offer - come up with a few of your inexpensive good cues, and you can trade me for my $3000 Jensen which does not seem to be moving!!!
Then you can join the "IN" club:grinning-moose:

Thanks & good luck with your sales.

Michael

That is assinine.

It isn't anyone's business if someone sells a "cheap" cue on here, nor is it anyone's place to tell someone that they might have better luck on E Bay. Who the hell is anyone to tell anyone where they should sell something?

If you don't like the cue, or whatever item is being sold, or think it is below the LOFTY standards of AZB, just move on.

I haven't read anywhere that only high end cues can be sold in this FS section.

As I explained separately, on another post you cared not to repeat here, I don't have a problem with cheap cues. I rather like them, in fact. I have many of them. Don't have to worry about dinging them, don't worry about theft, etc. I just don't spend a lot on them. When a SP can generally be purchased on this board for $250 to $350 and is made by an american craftsman, unfortunately, they shine brighter than a $300 Adam.

Just as an aside, responding to someone trying to help and not to bash, you starting another thread on this with the pure intention of bashing, on this board of all boards, you are an argument or a fight looking for a place to happen. Best of luck with your search, but you are running down a dead end. It won't be with me.

I don't see the big offense in his P.M. to you, he did not bash you in the thread, seems like friendly advice that you took the wrong way.

It wasnt a PM that was something that was put directly underneath my sale thread. As per saying im trying to pick a fight im not im simply trying to prove a point. Now if you really were trying to be helpful a PM would have been better and in all honesty im responding to your tact in the matter not your advice. So apparently thank you for your sale advice however your other comment in the midle of my sale thread was not appreciated and yes i took it a certain way but the way it was said was rather rude so for that im sorry for my response however i was a little taken back by it. I will not apologize however for trying to sell my cue and if i posted five times or fifty times what business is it of yours.

I have no problem with you posting an inexpensive cue for sale. I post many imported inexpensive cues myself. And I have sold many so there is a market here.
However, It is everyones business if you post the same item for sale in numerous different threads, It is just not fair to the other sellers.
Please be considerate in that way. Good luck with your sale.
