For those that didn't see my other thread, I bought an original script from the Twilight Zone "The Pool Player"

And I just got the script and it's original.

Here are the final two pages. This is the way it was supposed to end but they changed it at the last.

Wow. I like this ending better than the other. Some people cannot be content with just being a wannabe.

Nice find Jeff. Johnnyt

I was pleasantly surprised for sure.

Every once in a while you get lucky. Probably not worth a lot but as a little piece of history, you can't beat it. :) :)

Well, I really had my doubts when I bought it.

And I don't know how in the heck one can know for sure.

But I can say that this paper is "old". It smells old and it has an aged look to it.

Cool!

Wow! Thanks for posting that. That is actually my favorite episode of The Twilight Zone. :D I believe the episode as it was finally released on tv, was titled, "A Game of Pool".;)

I've been doing some research and found some interesting things.

George Clayton Johnson's name for his original script was "The Pool Player", they changed the name to "A Game of Pool" for the TV show and used a different ending..... whether Johnson had two endings prepared or if someone else wrote the ending used on TV, I don't know.

Johnson wrote four scripts used for the Twilight Zone, "A Penny for Your Thoughts", "Nothing in the Dark", "The Pool Player" and "Kick the Can".

"Nothing in the Dark" is probably my favorite TV moment. Gladys Cooper & Robert Redford were perfect! I bought the DVD just for that episode. Everyone I've showed it to loved it.

"Nothing in the Dark":

"original script"

There are often multiple versions of the original script and then all of the scripts passed out to cast and crew are generally considered original scripts also. There can be dozens of "original scripts" of some material.

Jeff did you get an original script or a copy of the original? The reason I' asking - look at the same seller selling this original script.

This remind me of the Unpublished analysis stroke of Willie Hoppe, which end up been a copy of the unpublished one.
I just asking. He probably an honest seller.
