The pool player vs The hustler

I tried to stay out this thread...But....lol

Softshot...It's real easy to see that you've not been around upper level pool much...It's a shame you didn't come into a big inheritance or something cuz if you had money & there were many more guys like you then maybe pool would have a little more money & it wouldn't be so tough out there on the road..The old days it wasnt bad..there were guys like you that didnt like to ask for weight & would play strangers just for the competition & every road player had him on their road map...Hell...If you had money & would put it into action I could even today bring you a stranger a week that you have never seen before & would quit me before I ever quit you..The only reason you are getting so much hazing about it is it's easy to see that you really havn't been around to really know what you're talking about...I wish you would take me up on a lil test..but I know you won't..Take anywhere from 2k to 5k and take you a road trip & try and get in action every town you get in...I'll bet you blow all your dough before 2 weeks is up...then you'd have a different outlook on guys that did the road thing...Not trying to knock you...just educate you a lil on the real pool world.
 
I would like to prove what a chump Efren is. I think races to 10,000 in rotation and one-pocket (over the next 3 years, of course) would be appropriate. He can bet what he wants, up to $500/set. Bring it magic man.

I can't quite figure out if Softshot is:

a) Delusional - I will pity him

b) Crafty (nice way to get a free 10 hour match with a quality player and gentleman) - I will envy him.

c) an Attention Whore - I will ignore him.


Also can't figure out if Chris accepted because:

a) He likes to punish the weak. :wink:

b) He's that bored with action drying up.

c) He knows sofshot will not leave his basement CB drills to go to DCC and play.

The problem with this whole scenario is that you dont gamble, so you can put yourself even close to the same class as Chris. There is a huge difference between what you and him are trying to accomplish. You want to be a champion, GREAT!!! Chris like many others probably isnt as interested in trophies or plaques as he putting the dough in his pocket. I have seen many like you that will enter a tourney for $100 and play lights out, but couldnt bet $5 without sweating like a pedophile at Chuck E Cheese. Go be a champion and leave the cash games to the the hustlers. Chris has a canny ability for getting what he wants, and thats the money.

Softshot dont listen to these guys. Im sure you can give Bart a good run for the not money. You can do it. If your that confident in you cb control drill then you should feel confident with straight. Practice so you can shut these jerks up.
