A Templar Knight is truly a fearless knight, and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armour of faith, just as his body is protected by the armour of steel. He is thus doubly armed, and need fear neither demons nor men."
— Bernard de Clairvaux, c. 1135

This case is part of a set that were made for two brothers. This is the gift from one brother to the other. If you like this one wait for a few more days and you see the other one.

I love the tooling of the knight but I don't think it ties in with the rest of the case. Could there be more of a "scene" on the back side with the knight walking? I also feel the leaves and berries tooling could have more like vines and thorns or even brick-like, as in a castle.

I'm not trying to be a jerk because the workmanship is top notch. I just love that time period and think a case like this has some serious potential.

John, you just get better and better...... this is one awesome case, really awesome...... I'm going to have to save up some money and get one from you..........Can't wait to see the other one...........

The Knights Templar didn't reside in castles. The leaves and berries are actually olive branches with olives on them and are representative of Portugal.

The images used were supplied by the customer and exactly what he wanted to see on the case.

You're right though - the medieval times are very rich as a subject matter and this case could have been done in many different directions. This was the way I and this customer felt worked best to show off what he wanted on the case.

Let me know what you want and I will do my best to interpret your desires into just what you have in mind.

Outstanding design.
Masterpiece by the artist.
Completed with the best protection a cue may want.

As Will Smith said in ID4: "Got to get one of these".

Curious, as I have no idea how those knights are done, how long will they remain in that condition? Is the leather sealed in some way to protect them?

Case looks great I may add.

The knights are hand carved, dyed and painted. There is a coat of sealer on the case to protect it.
