glad for the recognition players like duong and yapp got here. and of course for the celebration of efren. thumbs up.

Efren vs Scott might be coming up, according to what Scott siad on the mic yesterday. IDK where to watch it though. I think the bonus Busty match yesterday was not on DAZN, and I only saw highlight shots on FB.

This was another great event by Matchroom, and fantastic to see Reyes getting a cup named after him. But one thing that I will never understand is the camerawork during these major tournaments. Someone tell the directors that extreme closeups of the cueball before it's about to be hit are not useful. In the case game of the Yapp v FSR match, the crucial shot of the match was this extreme back cut on the 3 ball:

Instead of showing this shot with the full table view, the camera cuts to this closeup:

A small nitpick with an otherwise great event, but I can't stand how common this sort of camerawork has become in pool.

I agree home court matters a bit, just not this much
Yeah, not that much, but random rolls can make the rest of the difference, along with no Filler.

The final game score was 76-58 which is an entirely reasonable result after 134 games between equal players just by chance. That much margin or more is statistically expected about 16% of the time.

There was also a moment where, when faced with a tough kick shot, David Alcaide looked up at Efren and jokingly offered him his cue:

Likely a callback to this famous moment:

Sadly, the cameraman/producer/editor never cut to Efren's reaction.

that was great. i think david's shot could've worked on a less slick cloth. reverse didn't seem to bite at all

Meanwhile, in the real world people understand that the Asian team is just better at pool than the players Europe brought. Not that complicated.
Never dissed the players. Ko is a fave, Chua is on youtube taking Filler's money. They can all play. Your point's not that complicated. It's just not the point.

Awesome event - I do think there will be more intensity on the European side in the future. They aren't going to want to be embarrassed like this again.

It's criminal that Ko Ping Chung wasn't on the Asian side, but I'm not sure who you leave off - especially given the focus on growing the game in Vietnam.

I think someone mentioned it earlier in the thread, I do like the idea of making this event jump-cue free. It'd be a fun and fitting wrinkle for this one event. Efren's creativity and instincts kicking are really where his mark will be forever left on the game.
