Everything about aiming in pool happens in your mind. What you project from your imagination onto the imagine of the shot in your mind is what is fooling you into thinking what you are imagining is real. The mind does not know real from unreal.
At one time, I played online F/A 18 dogfighting flight sim web site. There were times I felt as if I was in actual combat flying. "I" knew this was a sim, but the mind did not.
