There is a bad flaw in my form, or something (hitting my rib cage on follow through)

try a new cue

Try a cue with a crooked butt , just make sure the bend is away from your body or you will hit your ribs more .

I was taught to finish this way also...one pro instructor I had said he talked to Mike Segal after a match once and ask him about this. He said Mike pulled up his shirt and showed him the red mark on his ribs where he finishes, and also told him that during some practices he would wear a pad under his shirt on that side to absorb the finish

Its easy to get your angles out a little.
Take a look at this vid by Tor. He shows a good way to check your angles.
Good luck

I wonder why the instructor says to put both feet on the shooting line, when it is clear to me that the only foot on the shooting line should be my back right handed side (right hand side, if I am right handed) . So, there appears to actually be 2 shooting lines (one for the line of the shot, which is for my back left), and the other one for my left leg (which he also called the shooting line, but it is not). He does not explain how far over (or forward) my left leg should be. I assume what ever feels most comfortable, but I just do not understand about the shooting line of the left foot (for a right handed player).

If you can't post a video of yourself playing then watch a video of Neils Feijen or Earl playing with the cue under their right eye. The cue is unlikely to hit their rib cage with it off to the side like that.

Priceless!! He ask for help and then argues with the video trying to help .... 🤔

I was not trying to argue. I just did not understand that part about the shooting line of where the left leg should be. The instructor speaks as if both lines are one and the same. I really do want to learn about proper leg positioning, but was just confused about that part of the video.

I offered advice just in case somebody else looking for advice reads this thread. Justin would rather punch himself in the gut than take advice he's asking for.

I think that my stroke is just warped (that is all). My right forearm is turning to the left on follow through, and hitting my rib cage. I think that practicing good proper form is the only way to fix it, and practicing a lot.

after watching some video's of an instructor, author, etc. i think you have un-intended LH swoop which i think is desirable on some shots, others, not so much

it could also be a wonky stroke

sorry i don't have the expertise to explain this better, you may consider sending member John Barton a PM, he is qualified and may choose to expound on this
