I was taught to finish this way also...one pro instructor I had said he talked to Mike Segal after a match once and ask him about this. He said Mike pulled up his shirt and showed him the red mark on his ribs where he finishes, and also told him that during some practices he would wear a pad under his shirt on that side to absorb the finish

I wonder why the instructor says to put both feet on the shooting line, when it is clear to me that the only foot on the shooting line should be my back right handed side (right hand side, if I am right handed) . So, there appears to actually be 2 shooting lines (one for the line of the shot, which is for my back left), and the other one for my left leg (which he also called the shooting line, but it is not). He does not explain how far over (or forward) my left leg should be. I assume what ever feels most comfortable, but I just do not understand about the shooting line of the left foot (for a right handed player).
Priceless!! He ask for help and then argues with the video trying to help ....

I offered advice just in case somebody else looking for advice reads this thread. Justin would rather punch himself in the gut than take advice he's asking for.
