Mike Sigel did make a couple cues with diamonds in them, a few years ago. He kept one for himself, and sold the second one. Similar designs, just slightly different use of dashes in the buttplate. They were quite nice looking cues. Saw them both in Frederick, Maryland. Nowhere near the prices above, I think they were something like 7K cues.

You're welcome, Jen. Yes, those Black Boars are something else.

When Mike Seigel was finishing up at Champion Billiards Frederick as house pro, he had his cuemaking equipment with another person, I believe in the Carolinas. Mike still did plenty of cuemaking work during that era. Those two cues with the diamonds, he made, as he was heading off to do the Sigel pool tour.

There are those who think Mike Sigel wasn't a cuemaker. They are not old or wise enough to know that he did work with Dan Janes at Joss Cues in the late 60s to the early 70s. Possibly Mike's cues didn't resonate with some, and overmarketed, but to say he was not a cuemaker is to show pure ignorance, or lack of age in this hobby. He knew plenty about cuemaking.

He deserved (verbal!) crap for doing crap. Very simple.
It's probably worth a couple of 100$ due to being very rare, and that means, the "worth" is only due to a few people wanting this old thing for whatever (crazy) reasons.
The real worth probably is around 10$.

People are allowed to earn money, but let's keep it clean, real and honest. Outrageous behaviour is not wanted.

Starting bid of only $80.

It's down to $60 starting bid, I wonder if he set a record for most over-priced item and then the highest drop.
