They are rolling bad when....

When your opponent breaks, doesn't make a ball, cue ball stops in the jaws of a head string pocket and the last ball rolling on the table parks itself right in front of the cue ball............................2 times in a row. How could the cue ball possibly get that deep in the jaws without falling???

When you are playing on an 8ft Valley table and you shoot a draw shot on a ball that is going directly into a side pocket. The object ball disappears in the pocket then come right back onto the table. Arrggh!

When in a local 9 ball tournament I am on an easy three ball out. I am down on the ball and feel a chair behind me so I look back and push the chair back a ways with my foot. I then look back at my shot and the cue ball is rolling down the table slowly. Ooopps!! So much for that easy out!
Funny now. Not so much back then!!

Table has a... (ah-hem)...
DEEP THROAT.

I've gone completely brain dead and have done this playing 9 ball.
I'm a 15 - 20 seconds player, no shot clock required , especially when they are sitting in the holes.

Ball in hand on the 1 ball, - 2 ball is a little tricky, a few different ways to get there, taking more time than normal.
I'm looking for insurance and everything else that runs through your head. If I get good on the 2 it's a road map runout, not playing safe, running out.

I made my desicion, place the cue ball precisely down and shoot the 2 ball,,, the wrong ball.
I wasn't even high.,,,,,,,Brain Dead Fred

I know there are others out there, come forward.

I rattle A TON of follow shots down the rail. Try to make a point of practicing those where I can really juice it up to gain confidence.

Also, setting up a shot you missed previously, thinking you made an adjustment and missing it the exact same way. My mantra is, “That’s how I learn.” I’m just slow to come around sometimes.

I had a friend who was a really good player, for money, never played tournaments , hated the thought of exposing his talent for nothing and the fact he was not a favorite to cash. He was playing Claude Bernatchez his first match and scratched one rail on the lag. It was brutal, of course we heckled him to pieces the whole match , because that was his MO. We still laugh our arses off about that when we all get together.
Oh, I forgot, he had asked his running buddy to dress up his cue before the match , when Claude came back to the table he asked him what he was doing to his cue , lol he had grabbed the wrong one. More laughing till our sides hurt, and torturing the victim.
Claude never said anything but he did not look amused.

They are rolling bad when you are trying to miss shots to lower your handicap and accidentally slop in the 9. When you try to do that it doesn't go.
