This Ed Young took a while to get ...

Gaboon ebony nose
6 High curly purpleheart points (only one has decent curls)

I think I should have gone with an all black linen wrap. What do you all think?

Only 1/2 hour of play time, and I don't think I'll be able to play this weekend ... aagghh!

WOW!!!
Simple but very very pretty and elegant.
Black lizard wrap would have been the icing.
Black linen wraps look ugly after a while.
Looks like a very stiff hitting wand to me.
Nice curly purpleheart sleeve.
:-)

Sweet Young

Thats quite a fine cue you have there. Points look good with the veneers and ebony nose. Would like to own one myself some day maybe! Heard they play very well.-Ryan.

nice cue

what kinda wait is there on his stuff and what is the average price range?

Enjoy it, 'cause...

It's closest you're going to get to a new Kersenbrok (sp). I've spoke with Ed before. Seems like a really nice guy. My business partner is getting one made for him as well. Can't wait to see the pics! :D

gorgeous cue...

i agree...black lizard would top it off nicely or black pigskin.

I would even say a nice plain black linen wrap would work...I try to stay away from leathers personally.

WOW!!! Thats exactly what Ive been looking for. If you ever grow tired of it let me know and I would be more than happy to accomodate. Mason

Thats my idea of a near perfect cue. Very simple but elegant & sleek. I personally don't like too much going on in a cue. That one really sits well with me. Congrats on a fine example of Ed's work. Rest assured it will play stellar...I've spent some time with one similar but not as nice. Ed does things right...the "hit" will make you proud! And yes...leather for me too.

Thanks for the comments

The color combination is growing on me. But the simplicity and design is exactly what I was looking for. This one took a little longer than Ed's normal wait the curly purpleheart he stocked still had some sap when he was turning it down.

Beautiful clean design. Very nice.

I'm not a fan of solid black linen (as noted above, they can start to look dirty pretty quick). Some type of black leather would really complete the cue's look.

This is a 5-pointer isn't it?

No, 6 points. Ed usually does 3hi/3lo combo, but I asked what he thought 6hi would look like. He said he'd try it out on this cue.

Whoa! That's what it looks like?!?! I know a cue maker who's doing the same thing, but haven't seen any as of yet. Man that looks nice! Thanks for sharing!:D Please tell you play with this cue.

Beautiful cue.

My choice would be Kangaroo black leather.

I'll tell you, it is a great feeling wrap. A couple of guys who post on here tried it out Friday night and both commented how great the wrap felt. I'm hooked.
