Have you searched the forum for all this that is missing? Or should there be a real honest new teaching thread every 10 minutes so you can see it fresh each time you log on? Have you checked the instructor forum?
 
I'm going to come right out and say it. I think the new CueTable software has gotten too difficult to use. Too often diagrams show up in threads as a big "X" or people can't figure out a way to edit them like we once did. It's increasingly frustrating when you try to use competing applications out there that are ALWAYS inferior products. As well, the flash-based software is not universal and always needs upgrading.

We used to get some great dialog going. I hope Wei recognizes this lost audience and moves toward producing an app version of CueTable. Right now, it feels like we're back in 2002.

Perhaps people will use video more often but I think the underlying problems with that is, you need the foresight to take out a camera AND you need a youtube account (or competing product). In sum, it's a lot of trouble. The advantage to diagramming is that you could reproduce a shot from memory or even draw up a hypothetical scenario. I think if you want to point to one big reason why the forum has shifted, you have to look at the amazingness of CueTable and how it's really not used here anymore.

I think it would truly frighten many of us to find out how insanely devoted he became in order to maintain the ability to post his aimless manifestos on AZB.
 
In the time I have been here there's been a decrease in the table layouts. At one time the first page would have a few what would you do here threads. I know I tried to make some but couldn't ever figure out how to do it correctly.
 
It is very easy to post screenshots of actual matches. VERY EASY.

MUCH CAN BE LEARNED FROM THE TOP LEVEL PROS.

We will learn. LET US ALL LEARN TOGETHER.

Apparently, the ludicrously exploitative cost of a DVD on, say, banking, is moot because, for instance, members of this board happily and willingly share information to all, therefore making cost of knowledge an irrelevance.

For a while now I've wanted to start a poll called "Has AZBilliards helped your game?". I suspect about 95% would think it has, but I very much doubt it's *really* helped anyone - it hasn't helped my game one jot.

I haven't done so because of the myopic ingrained trolls.

AZBilliards - a diversion, a time-killer, a reminiscer, a friend-maker, an ego-tweaker - but NOT a player-maker.

I've met a lot of great people on here.

And I've matched up with AZ'ers all over the world.

Next week I'll be in Thailand with several AZ'ers.

And I'm bringing new iPads for Monto P2 and gobrian77.

I think they would both say that AZ is a great way to get the latest iPads delivered.

If you mean, we just get on with it without making it into an unfathomable science, then guilty as charged.

I sometimes play with a world champion English 8 baller. Get this - he hadn't heard of deflection until I explained it to him; even then, he was dubious. I was going to ask him about aiming systems, but already knew the answer to that.
