The fact the matter is... AZ is an asset for businesses and pool world in general. The rules we have right now are just fine, except that people that sell on AZ should be Club Members. Actually has been quite funny reading some of these posts and some bigger cue dealers here are cheap enough and will not contribute to AZ. What is $35.00 a year when they make thousands on cues deals?
My main thing is... If you are selling you should be at least on a quarterly paid Club Membership...
 
Club membership is for every member, not exclusively for sellers. Sellers should be thankful and respectful of the Forum that they use to earn money, and not only be a club member, but give back to the Forum in a way that reflects their success.

I thought that Mr. barton's comments were a little hypocritical. People on this and other sites will always whine about anything and everything, no matter what it is.

No, because that is non-intrusive like wearing a T-shirt to the pool room that says John's Roofing Service.

Why don't you bother to read the all of my comments?

Are you going to now be another person who won't bother to read all that a person writes and then stalks them?

If you had read to the end then you would have seen that I wrote that I have been on both sides of the fence, meaning that I have also put up some posts that were not exactly in the spirit of a Wanted/For Sale section.

I have put up a post previously that was more of a services provided type. That type of advertisement is possibly what's not meant for this section. I don't feel that it is and when I put mine up in regards to the J.Flowers cases it was a lapse in judgment.

Try reading and thinking about what you read before answering. That usually works better than reading a portion or skimming and then posting an answer.

Any commerce related thread started should have a nominal fee charged to post.

It should not matter if one proclaims to be or not to be a dealer,
that ain't the question nor the truth of the matter.

The truth is that people profit here without contributing financially
to keeping the AZB site up and running so that they can continue
to profit here.

Should a nominal fee be imposed on every thread started in
For Sale/Wanted, you will be amazed at the number of nits
that will quit starting threads here.

I'm certain the quality people that enjoy buying, selling, and
trading here would have no problem with a nominal fee.

The nits can go to craigslist.
 
FWIW:

The little yellow banner under the username
is an early indication of a non-nit that is supporting this site by at least
becoming a member and paying to help keep it running

+++!!! In addition those that HIJACK threads for purposes of self promotion should pay more than a nominal fee.

$5 to make a post in the for sale section. Maybe you can respond to post, but in order to post something for sale you need to pay. I bet it would eliminate at least 1/2 of the bullshit posts. Plus it would help support AZ. I would be the first to pay $5x all of my transations.

I think that this would be unfair to those who sell $30 items and more than fair for those who sell $1000 items.

Or they can go to craigslist for free and deal with nits like themselves :cool:

Or to Ebay and pay more than $5.00 in fees

It's pretty much common knowledge that if you have something
pool related to sell, AZB is the first place to post it, and then if
it doesn't sell, you take it to Ebay.
