I pretty sure it was 2007 at the derby,that Jay put mark Tadd in( I remember he was using Jay's New cue from Mike Stacy- Mark was having the tip changed-practicing with it. John Schmidt was there, R. Wiseman ,Buddy Hall, Grady , Efren, Alex, Tony, Shane, Scott F. and 400 others. It was the last Derby before the Casino stuff. About 4 blocks away was the best Sandwich spot around. The action was non-stop. John Pinegar(and that crazy Hat, I met Chris Bartrum that yr. Billy Incardonia, Ronnie Allen, Strong Arm John,and Slim(from Detroit). I actually sold a 1980's Joss Shaft,just like Shane was using on His mothers (r-4 Ebony Schon. It was a Super yr for Shane.He won many tournements that yr. Shane played in the banks too , had Frost stuck- but Frost came back.

you might want to ask jay because i was not there, but was told by jay, he picked out one of my cues to play with when jay offered him his choice of cues to use.

Mark Tadd - Monster player in the 90's

He played in the USBTC three years ago in Reno. I think he lives in Salt Lake and drove to the event. I haven't seen him since the early 90's. During that time frame, he came up to Edmonton, AB Canada and played in large tourney we held at Lucky 11. He was unstoppable and won the event and took down a ton of great players. He came up with a guy who was part owner of a pool hall in Vegas (Cue Club). I think his name was Henry Nogiec who was orginally from Canada and moved to the states. While in Reno, I talked to Mark breifly and he said that religion was and still is a huge part of his his life and gambling pushed him away from pool. He did well in Reno during that tourney but he was not the monster player that I saw back in the 90's. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys. Yes, this is from the 92 Bicycle Casino (I live 4 miles from there, but they don't have events here anymore). You guys haven't seen this match because I just posted it to my channel. I watched it a few days ago, and noticed that this kid was a powerhouse. I mean, how does he play so good, and I had never heard of him? I uploaded because I wanted the world to see his game, and remind those who were around in his time what he was like. He had a chance to beat Kim, but instead beat himself. Very unfortunate. I remember watching this before.. I had bought it from Accu-stats to watch online. Mark Tadd was/is a gifted player, no doubt there.

I bought so many matches in the past from accu-stats, but the only thing that stops me is the long process of the delivery specially for me as I live so far away now, it takes literally a month maybe more to arrive for me, so if accu-stats invents an online link to watch instant when you buy, it will really make me happy, love tech!

IIRC, he had a good showing at the US Open a few years ago. Not sure about that, though.
I think the place needs him or Johnny there, when the owner is away a lot things can happen

Mark is on Facebook - he checks in there infrequently. He rotates between retirement and semi-retirement every other month -he is in Slat Lake City -he still plays from time to time "when the let him play"...

Yes, I have several matches on there. However, Pat has requested that I remove some, and I have, including this one. I respect him and Accu-Stats, and if they request removal, I have no choice. Plenty of other pool to see on my channel. Subscribe!
