JAM--That must have been incredibly hard for you to type right after what sounded like a heart breaking match. Thanks for keeping up with the updates as you promised. A player like Keith will use that as motivation in his next match & I am sure come out with a better outcome.

John Sally is here, host on Best Damn Sports Show, and Jeanette Lee, I overheard, is here in Vegas to do an exhibition at the World Series of Poker. The media is following Jeanette around just like the pied piper.

Check this out. Mike Zimmerman in an earlier match pockets the 8-ball for the win, but because he didn't wait for every single ball to stop rolling before he scooped 'em up, a foul was called, giving his opponent an extra game.

Dennis Hatch and Keith, 2 to 2. Dennis is flaling his hands around as if he's angry when he misses, giving the referee long stares if he is in his line of vision. I'm not sure what the outcome of this match will be, but, of course, I'm pulling for Keith real hard. Dennis lost his earlier match 8 to 6 to Sammy Jones. So Keith getting beat by Schmidt 8 to 7, puts Keith at a one-game advantage in case Keith is in a tie situation at the end of the day.

I've always wondered if this rule was ever enforced in major events. I've seen it called in APA matches, and I know it's a rule that's on the books in at least some sets of rules, but yet you see the pros rake the balls in sometimes before the CB has stopped moving.

Keith is stuck 6 to 2 against Dennis Hatch. It's not that Keith is playing bad, but he isn't getting very many opportunities at the table. Dennis looks like a man on a mission at this juncture.

Johnny Archer vs. Ronnie O'Sullivan on the TV table, 4 to 1, Johnny's favor.

Marlon Manalo is 6 to 1 against Loree Jones.

It's kind is funny standing in the tournament room listening to all of the players breaknig balls. Every 2 or 3 seconds, you can hear a BAM from a player breaking the balls.

6 players to a group now, How do they play the 2nd round is it 3 players advance or what?

Johnny ran a beautiful 4-pack before letting Ronnie in, who promptly ran out score now 5-3 for Jonny.

JAM,
Thanks for the great reports; sorry about Keith's first match - play enough pool and it will happen. Good luck.

When you see all the media descend on Jeanette you realize what potential she has to add to the visibility and publicity of an event. If the IPT should fail (and we hope, hope, hope not) there are many like me that will wonder if KT's decision to exclude her may have been shortsighted (though I know she missed the initial applications stage during her surgery and recovery, there were several avenues by which he could have included her). It would pain me to think that her inclusion could have been the straw that "strengthened the camel's back."

Anyway, have a great week and thanks again for the reports.

Just wanted to repeat what Willebetmore said. Jam please make sure you get us a shot of Short haired Jeanette perferably with Keith and yourself. I hope Keith catches some rolls!!

Actually, I saw Kevin Trudeau and Jeanette Lee off in a corner alone, chatting for an extended period of time. Jeanette may not be a member as of yet on the IPT, but she can still contribute to the tour by her presence, as evidenced by the trail of media she always seems to have behind her.

Keith lost to Dennis Hatch, 8 to 2. Now he has to play, coincidentally enough, Jeanette's husband, George Breedlove. Everybody in Keith's bracket has one at least a one match win, which puts Keith at a severe disadvantage to advance. At any rate, Keith is on his belly, but has the fury of a lion. He's not dead quite yet, and we're hoping for the best.

Go Keith!!! Get a few beers in him and soon enough he'll be 3-2 on the day. I just know it!

Jeanette's hair is still shoulder length, but not down to her waist as before. She has it kind of wavy instead of straight. Most likely, if I remember what it's like to have a young one, long hair doesn't mix too well with little hands that like to grab.

JAM - any updates on the O'Sullivan v. McKenna match on table 28 would be greatly appreciated, and paid back in heaps of good vibes sent telepathically towards Earthquake!!!

Great work thus far, we all appreciate it very much! Keep em coming!

Keith is up 5 to 3 with George Breedlove. George took a break, and I got a chance to chat with Keith. He said playing with George is peaceful. George is a gentleman player, which is the way it should be.

Fu is down, with Hatch on top 5 to 3.

I'm standing next to Kelly Fisher on another computer in Cyber Cafe here, and she's making her airplane reservations for Peoria.

I'll go try to check out Table 28 right now.
